Alright, so let's just say that Priceless get the belts back at Unforgiven. (The physical belts, I mean.)
The following night on Raw, they're giving a victory speech when Dusty Rhodes comes out. Dusty starts talkin' down to Ted DiBiase and says that Cody Rhodes is disgracing his family name by "taking the easy road." Cody's response is that he's only been in WWE for a year, and by "taking the easy road", he's accomplished more than his father could in 20 years of wrestling in damn near every promotion ever. He ends it with a slap to the face to Dusty, who just takes it because he's not going to fight his own son.
The next Raw, Priceless finishes a match, only their music doesn't start up. When they stand around perplexed for a little bit, the silence ends with five words: Money, money, money, money, money...... Ted DiBiase Sr. comes out, seemingly to congratulate them, only to swerve everyone. He does praise the team, but is angry that he didn't receive any credit for bringing Ted Jr. into the WWE, nor receive any credit for setting up the team of DiBiase (Jr.) and Rhodes. Jr. responds with a simple statement: "Yea, you opened the door for me. And that's all you've done. Just like you've done all your life, all you do is point the way for me, and run off to spoil yourself with that damn money. Well, I don't need your help anymore, I don't need your 'guidance' anymore, and I sure as hell don't need YOU anymore." DiBiase Jr. also ends things with a slap to the face, same situation as Dusty and Cody.
On the following Raw, DiBiase and Rhodes easily defeat (insert jobbers here), followed by Mike Adamle hitting the ring. He then announces a bombshell: at No Mercy, for the World Tag Team Championships, it will be Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes defending against Ted DiBiase and Dusty Rhodes. This brings out DiBiase (Sr.) and Dusty, who are both arguing the decision. Dusty takes a mic and says that he won't fight his son. DiBiase (Sr.) takes the mic from Dusty and says he has no problem fighting his own son after that slap, especially when there's gold involved, but there's no way in hell that he'd team with Dusty Rhodes. (After their classic feuds) Adamle basically says suck it up, because you don't have a choice.
At No Mercy, DiBiase (Sr.) and Dusty are shown backstage getting ready for the match. Dusty says that they should just fight each other's sons instead of their own. DiBiase Sr. responds with a simple "You don't tell me what to do. Now shut up, because gold is always more important than grudges in my mind." The match actually goes pretty well, with Dusty and DiBiase (Sr.) actually teaming pretty well. At the end, Dusty hits the Bionic Elbow on DiBiase (Jr.) and goes for a pinfall. 1...2...*BAM!* Cody Rhodes hits his father with the title belt, and helps DiBiase (Jr.) to his feet. DiBiase (Sr.) stands over Dusty Rhodes, and helps him up...only to lock in the Million Dollar Dream while DiBiase (Jr.) and Rhodes laugh in the background. DiBiase (Sr.) picks up a mic and tears Rhodes apart for being "working-class scum" and all that. He says that because of all the hard work Dusty put in, Cody was able to be born into a life of luxury, and telling him to go against taking the easy path is telling him to go against the life that destiny gave him.
And then, at Survivor Series, it's a 6-Man elimination match for the World Tag Titles: Ted DiBiase and Priceless vs. Dusty Rhodes and Cryme Tyme, with the winning team claiming the tag titles. (DiBiase Sr.'s team wins, Priceless retains, Dusty's team wins, Cryme Tyme gets the belts.)
