I know I'll get neg rep for this, and that's ok. I'm gonna be blunt about Benoit, NO I do not miss him. He was a good wrestler sure, but there are OTHER good wrestlers who didn't murder their family. What Benoit did was unforgivable to me. He is no better than a baby killer who isn't famous, and just because he was famous doesn't get him sympathy from me. His last actions on Earth defined who he was to me, and anybody who kills a child is scum to me.

How many times do we have to go over this the guy had a mental disease dementia that gave him the brain and logic of an 85 yr old guy with alzhiemers. I donot condone what he did but I hate how WWE "blacklisted" Benoit and how people say he was a murderer he had no idea what he was thinking about at the time. You do not know how your thoughts and actions play out when you have dementia.

He was a great wrestler and he had a good run in WWE, but I will never forget what he did and I just can't look or think about it the same as I used to

That mental disease thing is such a cop-out. Listen I have a mental disease myself...it so happens that I suffer from bi-polar disorder, depression, and anxiety. I take pills for these issues to keep me well. So what you're implying is that if I wanted to rob a bank or something all's I'd have to say to the judge is "Oops I'm crazy! See I even have the pills to prove it." Suddenly that would make my actions excusable or acceptable? No it doesn't. Maybe the judge would even let me keep the money.
I hear more stories about killers, child molesters, and other losers get out of punishment by claiming insanity. It's bullshit quite frankly. If you're that batshit you should probably be locked up either way. And Dementia is not an overnight thing, I have a hard time believing nobody in WWE would've noticed a change in Benoit seeing that they worked with him most of the year. It may be years or maybe never before we figure it all out or make sense of it, but it is what it is. The "why" is irrelevant...only the final outcome.

He had to know what he was doing at some point during the weekend...he's a piece of shit, and people just don't want to believe that he purposely killed his family.

Being someone who personally took care of a literal 85 year of alzheimers patient, I can say that if Chris Benoit truly did have that mental brain capacity, he would be more than capable of pulling off the stunt he did. Any number of factors could of been involved. He might of completely forgot about his wife and son at the drop of a hat. Wondering who these strangers were in his home, and could of retaliated. He could of imagined them being dog faced demons or messengers of death trying to take his family away or tell him to do these things. The possibilites are ENDLESS of what an alzheimers patient can think. He could of been slipping in and out of sanity at a moments notice, and on that Sunday morning finally came to, if only breifly. Realized what he had done, and took his own life in grief. He may not of even needed any form of logic or rationale going through his mind to do what he did. It could of been on pure insanity based thought processes alone.

Am I saying this happened with Chris Benoit? No, not really. But its entirely possible.

You're right UndertakerTheGreat, it is not an excuse. I am not saying that if he was alive he should not be punished by the guy would have needed medical help before prison. I am not justifying what he did I am saying he was not in his right mind. If you live the toll taking life or wrestling for maybe 20 yrs or so and eventually develop a finishing move that haves you dive your head in to someone's chest you will damage your brain to some extent.

Chris Benoit was one of the best workers/wrestlers I have ever seen .... his last great feud was with MVP and he made him look like a million bucks..... The Benoit story is a tragedy that we cant overlook but we also cannot overlook how brilliant of a wrestler he was

Im a film major and that is exactly how I look at wrestling now... I look at wrestling like a film you have many different characters with backstories and the more you get to know these characters, the more involved and attached you become to them... My all time favorite moment in WWE history is when Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero are celebrating their title wins at Wrestlemania XX... Benoit and Guerrero were best friends as well as rivals and their stories were complete opposites of eachother... Eddie was able to find redemption and salvation before his death but Benoit was not. As fans we witnessed the long journey of these two great superstars from the Hart dungeon/Mexico to japan to ecw to wcw to the top of wwe... The Legacy of their wrestling and their characters in the ring is legendary. The Chris Benoit story Is a tragedy and when Benoit died the WWE lost one of their last great wrestlers who had a great story but a tragic ending... Benoit was (in my eyes the last great technical wrestler who truly made his movements in the ring look real and I will never forget everything Benoit did in his career... RIP Benoit family
