Haven't watched a single show in months, WWE just doesn't do anything for me anymore. Every time I get even a little invested in the product, they tend to fuck it up and make it boring again. WWE in 2013 is just one huge disappointment.

I find that most of the stuff that you see on Raw nowadays is skippable and this is usually the matches for the most part. I don't really put that down to the overall product being bad, though (although it isn't anywhere near it's best at the moment), just that three hours makes for a whole lot of meaningless matches throughout the show. It's a shame the days of jobber matches have gone the way of the dinosaurs because this current era could really use them as a way of making star vs star matches have more appeal on PPV. Nowadays, it feels like there is hardly a match out there on the current roster that we haven't already seen at least a handful of times on either a Raw or a Smackdown.

Right now, I'm just waiting for January to get here. Things always get more exciting for me when the build towards the Rumble (and thus, Wrestlemania) gets here. Especially this year because Rock/Cena won't be at the center of the show like it has been with the last three Wrestlemanias, and in fact, Rock not being on the show at all (which is almost a certainty at this point) will make them have to try harder to shake the card up and produce a great show rather than just thinking they can largely rely on The Rock's star power and mainstream attention he brings to bring in the buys.

That is why I said "end of the year"... Usually the first 4 months are the best for wwe. But this year... The whole year seemed to boring. I can't remember what happened at the beginning of the year. It is like, nothing memorable happened for me. Not saying it was horrible but as I said before, they can't grasp my attention and keep it.

Likewise, the post-Summerslam period from September to December is usually the least exciting time of the year. Probably because it's a bridge between the culmination of their big summer storylines (unless those happen to carry over into the fall a bit) and the start of the RTWM that begins with the hype of the Royal Rumble at the start of the new year.

The Authority storyline (which was the big summer angle of 2013, of course) was a great angle but right now, it is simply going through it's dullest stage. Just examine it as if it were a three act structure - Beginning, Middle and End. The middle is usually always the hardest period to sustain interest in with any story. The angle began really good with Daniel Bryan being the center of it as well as a freshly turned Orton/HHH/Stephanie, and all the segments showing Big Show being coerced into doing HHH and Steph's dirty work. However, Bryan had to exit the story for the time being and Punk is off battling the Wyatts along with him now, which gives us our somber period with the Big Show and Cena/Orton Part 624. However, once January gets here and Vince returns to spice things up and Bryan (and Punk) no doubt get involved (along with a possible appearance by Shane McMahon) and the angle starts to head towards the conclusion that it's been building towards for several months by that point, the quality of it on TV will greatly improve.

Seems like it was a well thought out story but just very poorly executed.

I can agree that alot of it is filler and repetitive, but I still try to catch the shows on Hulu after they air. Even if its bad I still like to watch. I like to see the superstars perform, even if the story line is shite. I have been liking NXT more than the bigger name shows lately though.

I strongly disagree with that. It's been dull ever since the post-SummerSlam RAW when we got the 'Best for Business' explaination. Since then, literally nothing has happened in the angle. In what way has it developed in 4 months?! The storyline is in the same position now as it was back then: Hunter & Stephanie are trying to ensure that their man Orton is the face of the WWE, at all costs. It's been shockingly boring throughout despite bringing in Michaels, Big Show, Edge and Kane into the storyline. The only aspect of it that was a bit cool was the way they used The Shield as bodyguards and that lasted about 3 weeks. Pull the plug on the whole thing and pretend it never happened for god's sake.

Well, the angle did feel fresh in the beginning because it involved HHH/Steph/Orton at the center, who had all just recently turned heel. I liked seeing HHH and Steph rule the show together with an iron fist (though it had been done before with the McMahon/Helmsley Era in 2000, but that was almost 15 years ago) and it felt like at the start of it that the entire roster feel relevant in some way since they some of them had verbal interactions with HHH or Steph and the entire roster was often forced to stand there on the ramp and watch as Daniel Bryan or Big Show or Dolph Ziggler were made an example of (seeing a non-Cena hero in Daniel Bryan being at the center of it all also made for refreshing TV.) Loved the drops of kayfabe/reality, they did a great job of building up to the moment where Big Show finally lays HHH out with the WMD, plus while Bryan and Orton might have lacked chemistry with each other, many believed that Bryan could actually win the title back from Orton and have the angle evolve into HHH now trying to wrangle the belt from Bryan's hands (instead of just continuously keeping it on Orton at all costs) while Orton perhaps saved face in HHH's eyes by going after Cena's WHC.

Now though, Bryan is in the midcard and it doesn't feel at all like they're really putting full effort into the Wyatt feud, no one believed that Show had a chance of winning the strap from Orton, there isn't really any more anticipation into seeing Show/HHH (for some there never was but for a lot of the casuals, I think there was), Orton doesn't really look like the strong face of the WWE like he should but rather like a whiny champion who is now bickering with HHH and Stephanie himself, and Cena is the big hero against the Authority as usual. I'm personally just waiting for McMahon to come back and give this angle a much needed shot in the arm, plus I'm also looking forward to Bryan getting re-involved as well as Punk getting into the mix for the very first time.

It is annoying to see how much of the WWE programming is a lot of filler, boring and little to none storylines, but there's still great talent embroiled in the roster. I still have my hope that with the Rumble coming up WWE will put more effort in putting out better shows.

The authority angle was really great in the beginning, it was fresh and different. Then things didn't go very well with Show, Cena, no DB and etc. They tinkered around with it and it didn't work out. It can still be saved though.
