I know Jim Cornette likes the guy and he'll probably end up as a main eventer in TNA in a few years but for some reason I dont like Matt Morgan. I'll admit, he isn't the same guy that was in the WWE a few years ago, but still, I don't really care about him. The fact is, his promos are decent at best, and his in ring work is boring. No, its not because he can't do high spots, but its because he hasn't had 1 good match so far during his run in TNA, and his ring work actually reminds me of Kevin Nash and given the age difference between the two, that isnt a good thing.

Maybe in a few years I'll turn a corner on this guy, but for now, Matt Morgan means nothing to me. I wouldn't say that I hate him, but he still isn't good in my opinion. He just seems so stale in and out of the ring, and I don't think he deserves the hype that TNA has given him...

What do you think?

Well, I will agree with you, Matt Morgan isn't the most fun superstar to watch, but I don't think it's him. I think management needs to make him wrestle like on every other iMPACT!, instead of just appearing every iMPACT! and just being seen.

But really, is this considered "thread worthy?"

^ Well, I would think so. Thats probably why I made this a thread. I just wanted to see if you guys thought the same way about Morgan, I thought it would spark a nice little debate

Matt Morgan is an interesting one. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt at this stage, because he hasn't been around in TNA as a wrestler long, and hasn't had a real feud.

Yes, he is robotic on the mic, but I think he will get over that with time. His in ring work isn't phenomenal, but it isn't crap. I think Morgan is just a wrestler who needs time to develop.

I like Matt Morgan. I even liked him back in the day when they teamed him with Nathan Jones, which didn't last too long at all.. Sure his mic work is shoddy but he has hella room to improve.

^ Yeah, the Jones/A-Train/Big Show/Morgan/Lesnar/Heyman stable was a classic. But TNA's problem is that they don't give him the chance like WWE did...

I dunno but I'm sure he used to do a shooting star press in OVW I think. If he did then he should be able to do high spots. I think management has been dropping the ball with him, he should speed up his matches and stop showing off, basically acting like a big man and instead show his agility and speed for his size wich I'm certain he has. I wouldn't mind him in the main event

The dude is agile as fuck. He can move around like a little guy but I wish he would feud with someone other than Kip James and shit.. I'd love to see him do a SSP in TNA.

Meh...tha guy kind've seems like some generic dude at the moment...and he's using other people's finishers ....like the other episode he used Brock's F-5 and Undertaker's Old school...

I dunno...but thats my only complaint about the guy...I hate people that rip-off other people's moves

Yeah, I think he needs to become more unique and get into a good feud which will let him showcase his talent. I actually like him, I like his character and I think if given a chance he can really improve and become one of the main eventers of TNA. But right now he needs to do something that means something not just feud with losers. Maybe down the track a Matt/AJ feud or a Matt/Joe feud.

Um you do know Brock didn't innovate the F-5? Plus a lot of guys in Japan are using it, even Big Show used it for a while. If you hate guys who rip off you should hate all of wrestling because 90% of wrestlers use other people's moves.

Matt Morgan is a good wrestler and yes, he use to do a SSP in OVW, if TNA can get him in a good feud with a wrestler just as agile as him, who can take the high spots then Matt Morgan can DO the high spots. But Kip James is to old, stale and boring to take the high spots Matt Morgan is capable of. Give him time guys.

Well I agree Matt Morgan is boring in the ring but he can work on that. His mic skills are average but can also be improved. I can't see Morgan ME'ing but he'll get quite a big push in the midcard and I think he could play a good dominant heel in the midcard once James Storm or Robert Roode make the step up to the likes of Sting and Booker etc.

What I reckon is wrong with Morgan is that he's lacking personality and he doesn't have anything that really makes him stand out from every other 7 footer, maybe the highflying moves will help but he needs something to him, new ring gear, new music, give him a signature pose it will all help somehow in making him less boring to watch.
