Hogan SUCKS
Now listen here brother, Hulkamania is a 6 time WCW world champion, 6 time WWE champion and The Hulkster is the one who helped started the New World Order brother! If you think that you can stay in the ring with Hulkamania, whether he's 60, 30, 20, or even 200, then you get in the ring Jack! And Hulkamania will show you why he's the main event, and why you're sloppy seconds!

Unless there's a ramp to the ring I think anyone is safe from Hogan as long as you stay in the ring. Lord knows he can't get in without a ramp nowadays....BROTHER

I admit I'd probs mark hell I marked for the bionic elbow not long back and if you watch it was a lame elbow but Ambrose sold it like a champ and it rocked. A Hogan leg drop would have a lot of us here marking our tits off if built up and sold so well like that especially if it was at WM.

HOGAN is nothing compared to The Hoff. I am a 8 time champion of the universe, 7 time champ of the IWC, and a 12 time champion of Germany. Hulk, get in line SISTER! Yeah, I called you sister. You and your stupid STUPID thunder-thigh leg drop of dooom. HA! Doom? More like lame. Thunder thigh leg drop of LAME. And ya know what? The Hoff CAN stay in the ring with LameAmania, and he can't handle The Hoff. Hey Hogan, here's to ya sister! :finger:

I pop huge for Bionic Elbows and Atomic Leg Drops.

Did you guys see in ECW back in the day when Dusty Rhodes showed up? I'm talking OG ECW from 1998 or 99. I loved that shit. At the time I was hanging out (aka smoking hella weed, playing WCW vs nWo on N64) with some friends and this one old pothead who knew all the old wrestlers and shit. Anyway, he helped educate me on Snuka, Rhodes, and all the classic shit from the 70's. Fuckin' Nick Bockwinkel and shit. He hated Nick Bockwinkel.

OK point being... I had sold all the guys on ECW even though everyone was 100% Stone Cold Whoopass... drunken stunners at parties...etc etc. The old pothead though he wasn't that sure about it until one day Dusty Rhodes showed up in ECW hitting Bionic Elbows on all these heels. That's the day generations came together to mark the fuck out for Dusty Rhodes.

I don't have a point here. I've been drinking and watching Expendables. Bionic Elbows fuckin rule though.

He never beat Hogan's rating of 33 million people for the rematch with Andre on SNME back in February of '88. There's other SNME ratings he never beat either (the battle royal that Hogan and Andre were apart of one month before Wrestlemania 3 comes to mind.) Nothing that Austin or Rock did in the Attitude Era ever hit double digits. Granted, there were less channels to choose from back in Hogan's day, but still.

As for the merchandise issue, Austin did surpass Hogan in merch sales but Hogan didn't have as large of quantity of merchandise as Austin did. It seemed like Austin had a new t-shirt coming out every week (not to mention other type of items like his Smoking Skull Replica Belt, which cost $450 if I recall... what did Hogan ever have that was that high-priced?), and with the help of the internet, he was able to have a much better penetration of the market than Hogan had. There was no internet in Hogan's day, wwf.com was only launched in 1998... very conveniently, right when Austin's popularity exploded post-Mania with his feud with Vince.

As for who was more popular, I don't doubt that Austin is most certainly on Hogan's level and got some of the biggest deafening pops in history (most of his pops were bigger than Hogan's, to be honest) but a large part of that was because the Attitude Era had the most rapid wrestling crowds in history. I think only ECW had more passionate fans. Crowds in the AE were popping big for almost everything, even midcarders like Val Venis and The Godfather.

WCW ran themselves into the ground. They dropped their two hottest angles (NWO and Goldberg) and didn't follow up with any new strong ideas. Add to that bad management, giving too much power and creative control to many of the wrestlers, blowing money, never making new stars, horrible storyline after horrible storyline (starting specifically from mid/late '99 to WCW's demise) and the fact that Turner executives hated wrestling and always wanted it off their network and you have the recipe for disaster. I can sit here and talk about all the things WCW did to dig their own grave without even bringing WWF into it at all.
Ok you guys are gettin me wrong here...i respect hogan for all hes done but at the same time hes done alot to make this wrestling look like just shit

when he left wwf to goto wcw he did the NWO thing i fuckin loved that but also have to know that with the politics he nash and hall kept alot of people down so younger talent couldnt grow...in my mind that killed wcw

TNA-- fuck him and eric TNA was actually pretty good before the old seniors came along

my biggest beef is you gotta know when your time is up and hogans with all respect was up along time ago

Hoff's all for this, only if he gives that Leg Drop of Doom to Cena too. Hogan squashes the entire roster
