While I can understand wrestling fans being interested/excited about this
match...I honestly think it would have been better to see 15 years ago.

I'm honestly gravely concerned for Taker & I just hope Bill doesn't break
or dislocate his hip(s).

Im just interested in how they actually work the match. Both are old and limited. Goldberg is a squasher with short matches. Taker is a storyteller in the ring but waaay past his prime. I highly doubt they would let Goldberg squash Taker. And i dont think that Taker will squash Goldberg. So im curious to see how it plays out.

My solution would be to make the match a Buried Alive match, with Sting coming down from the rafters one last time and smacking both Goldberg and Taker with a baseball bat and burying them both ALIVE!

I’ve never heard anything stating that superstars will be fired for not working the show? Or being punished?

In any case, from a business standpoint, I get why Vince is doing it and I get why stars are performing there: it’s huge money and makes their company grow and they do have a big ass fan base there that they need to show they care about. Unfortunately, that’s how profit businesses work: profits. You can’t always be 100% concerned about what some countries policies are on certain things when you’re there to simply perform and somewhat try to get your fan base happy and keep growing. It’s a hard spot to be in.

I get what you’re saying 100%, but more or less playing devils advocate. The one thing that pisses me the fuck off is that these big stars, retired or not, are coming out of the woodwork to perform at these shows just for the big payouts. I’m not against them trying to get paid, rather they make it seem like they do it for just the love of the sport. Yeah.... okay....

I understand it from a business standpoint and I also understand that on a cultural level, it could change a lot of things for people over there. I also understand they are under contract for their careers with WWE. The thing is, this deal happened after many people signed on with the company and I doubt they went back over things with every individual wrestler. It is no secret there are a top 5 to 10 wrestlers that get special treatment in the company. Be it because of hard work or not is debatable. I just know a lot of people do not agree with how that country treats its own people and feel rewarding them by performing there is a bit ass-backward.

I'm in no position to say what they should or should not do but I do understand where both sides are coming from. I am just giving an opinion. Whether or not they do get punished for saying they won't go is not a factual statement but an assumption based on how things were handled in the past with some of the wrestlers.
