Everything ends at some point. WWE, and wrestling, will in all likelihood end at some point too. The question is, when?
With the rise of MMA, giving fans real wrestling type competition that is rising in popularity, as well as the slump wrestling is in in terms of overall interest right now, do you think wrestling will still be around for your entire lifetime?
It's really hard to tell, but how long do you see the wrestling business being around?
I think there's not much more evolving it can do, and wrestling will remain kinda the same for the rest of it's existence. The question then is how long will that existence be, and to me, with the rise of all kinds of MMA promotions that offer the same violence, but for real, and the fact that it's well known that wrestling isn't real, I can see wrestling lasting 80 years more or so. Not much more. I think it'll go past my lifetime. In 80 years, I'll be 96, and hopefully dead by then (who wants to be alive at 96?), so I DO think it'll still be around when I'm gone, but not much longer.
Thoughts?
