I can actually see that. It strengthens Punk's claim to being the "best in the world" (also there's no guarantee that Rock's working Mania 29). Have Cena win the Rumble and face Punk at Wrestlemania 29 in one true blow-off match to the feud. This also means that Punk and Cena can't feud after HIAC. Punk needs to move to somebody else for a while.

When I say job I mean cleanly. I can see the outcome with Punk winning somehow, but it won't be clean...

Sure he has this BITW gimmick, but if they want to push him as BITW they wouldn't have him look weak against Bret Hart and Jerry Lawler. They will never push Punk as dominant inside the ring because of his look, it's the sad fact of professional wrestling. If Punk goes over Rock it will be dirty, or perhaps the build for the feud will be more like a triple threat (with Cena as the ref) and he screws Rock to start the Rock/Cena part 2, but Punk will not be pinning Rock cleanly.

I like the idea of Punk beating The Rock and keeping the belt till Wrestlemania since losing the belt at the big show after having it so long means more, but the only person credible enough to wrestle/beat him in a Wrestlemania main event would be Cena, and I don't see them doing yet another rematch between them at that point (especially since Punk would have already beat Cena a handful of times by then.) At least Rock and Punk have never fought before.

Until Royal Rumble, a lot of stuff says he'll make it until then. Using the Rock Bottom on John Cena, assaulting The Rock, talking about The Rock ,and The Rock getting that championship match. So I see CM Punk having the WWE Championship until at least the Royal Rumble.
