Anyone watched that film called I See You?

i-see-you-2019-thriller.jpg

It's a pretty under the radar film and I was surprised just how good it was. It does take a bit of time to get going, but by the time you get to the ending it's so worth it.

It's The Month of Ghouls, Ghosts, Demons and everything inbetween and like last Year it's my goal to watch new Movies and TV from the Horror Genre. I just recently saw for the first time all the way through Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. It's pretty terrifying to think of a Mask and a Organization doing this much to the World. It's a Mass Murder needing to be stopped and clearly Daniel is going to fail in stopping it because theirs so many stations you can keep calling in time like he tries to do. Still I love the concept that was created here and you could do some great things in a TV Format today and expand on it.

So you can talk about all Horror here past, present, and future here and feel welcomed take your Socks off and let's snuggle hoping not to be afraid on what's around the Corner.

Halloween 3 is pretty decent. It just got ragged on for trying to cash in on the Halloween name and not having Michael Myers in it. If you look at it as a standalone movie I enjoyed it a lot.

I'm going to watch A Nightmare on Elm Street at some point next week. Especially to see the best kill:

Halloween 3 is awesome. I'd say it's better than 2.

I'm sure I'll watch some horror movies this month. The Children of the Corn remake is on my radar. I like all the Corn movies so I'm sure I'll find a reason to like it. Hell, I liked the Sci-Fi channel one with an interracial couple dealin' with those demon kids. So that's about all I have planned so far.

I'm watching NOES right now. Always so impressed by how well this movie holds up over time. I loved the cast in this film, a young Johnny Depp and Heather Langenkamp is iconic as Nancy.

I was saying this earlier in the chat but it's quite easy to see why Depp became the star he did after this. Even in his first role he has so much charisma and star quality about him. Plus his character is great!

What really sets apart these films from other slasher movies is how much Robert Englund brings to the role. He's not just a guy behind a mask, he adds a lot of jazz to Freddy and seeing a horror villain crack jokes whilst he's murdering people in their sleep was unlike anything we'd seen.

His manerisms and everything is just on point. It's not easy to be equal parts scary and comedic and somehow he manages to pull it off with ease.

Wes Craven was a genius and he's sorely missed. After this I'm watching NOES 2 which is lot more different, but I do appreciate the serious tone of Freddy in that one.

I have this friend I have movie nights with once a month maybe, we have half a dozen of good craft beers and watch three or four movies in the evening. I suggested we have a Halloween night this time and watch The Descent and Howling. He's picking the other two movies.

You can't go wrong with The Descent. Such an unnerving and claustrophobic movie, I was exhausted by the end of it. In a good way.

I'm about halfway through The first Elm Street and man Freddy his ways are so evil as fuck. He can clearly kill anyone just like that but he plays with his food like Pennywise because the taste of victory is even greater for them when they are at their most afraid. I might watch Deleted Scenes and the Making of the first Elm Street I'm a big fan of how things are done in Movies and Television since I was a kid.

I think what the NOES series needs now is a prequel about Freddy's life(yes, his murders and child molestin' even though I think the child molestin' got removed from his lore). I never watched the remake.

Yeah Freddy being a Child Molester was for sure in the Remake I think theirs a scene where Nancy and Quentin find Pics of Freddy and they were in Horror what they were looking at most likely Pornographic Pics of the Children he preyed on like Nancy in Company.

We wre talking about the Nightmare remake in the chatbox yesterday, I don't think it's too bad. I appreciated the serious tone. I geniunely like the opening part with the Springwood Diner and I wish they'd kept that up throughout. They nailed the atmosphere in this part and then lost it as it went further on.

I guess I gotta watch it at some point.

Edit: I do think there are quite a bit of solid remakes that have come out in the last 10 years or so. They still feel like cash grabs but it seems like at least most of the scripts are bein' written by folks who generally loved the series' growin' up.
