I don't know that it's Eerie pride, yo. I think, as the city that hosted the Assassination of a US President, it's just as interested in remembering Kennedy's legacy, and what might have been, had the unfortunate not happened.

Only reason I say that is because of all those "50" posters and whatnot they had posted all over downtown last year. The anniversary of his death. Instead of say... his birthday or the beginning of his presidency. I just found that weird. Kinda like celebrating Martin Luther King on the day he was shot. lol
