In an interview with www.Eagle1057.com out of Atlanta, GA, Hulk Hogan discussed Vince McMahon’s negative reaction to his Celebrity Championship Wrestling program on CMT.

“All of a sudden, Vince McMahon raised his ugly head and thought we were threatening his company and he’s been doing everything he can to shut us down,†Hogan told the radio station. “We’re just a reality show.â€

Hogan said he was worried the celebrities signed on for the show wouldn’t take wrestling seriously because they were paid upfront, but he was positive about the experience.

Hogan claimed the likes of Regis Philbin inquired about being on the series when it was first announced, and now people from “all of the major companies†are calling wanting to be part of Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

Hogan mostly hyped CCW during the interview, but managed to take a shot at Triple H. When asked about the wrestling business’ history of exposing its inner workings, Hogan said McMahon smartened up the public in the 80s when he said pro wrestling isn’t a real sport, and then created the Tough Enough series on MTV. However, Hogan believes the worst offense of exposing the business is Vince McMahon keeping the WWE Title on Triple H for so many years, and that it exposes the wrestling business more than Celebrity Championship Wrestling does. “The biggest expose is putting the World Title on your son-in-law for the last five or six years,†Hogan said. “That’s probably the biggest expose I’ve ever seen keeping Triple H as champion.†Triple H has taken a number of unwarranted shots at Hogan over the years (usually when Hogan’s been out of favor with Vince), even though Hogan was mostly positive when talking about him.

During the interview, Hogan also said he will be in New York this weekend with Steve Austin doing promotional work for liveautographs.com, which films celebrities signing merchandise that customers are buying to authenticate the merchandise.

- In the latest edition of “Santino’s Casa,†Santino Marella makes his case for the show to win best WWE.com Original Show at next week’s Slammy Awards.

Well, let's see Hogan. HHH had the title from Jan 2005 til Apr 1st 2005, and then, he went without the title through all of 2005, all of 2006, and all the way up until Oct 2007. That was 2 and a half years after his previous reign. Hardly "putting the belt on his for 6 years straight" Hulk.

That is actually true for the most part, Triple H was never away from the title scene for more than 2-3 months from 2002-2005, although he wasn't around it for a long while since then.

I agree that Triple H had the title for a while, lost it and then regained it almost 1-2 months later. And 2-3 years after the loss at Wrestlemania he holds it for 2 hours. This year he wins it and held onto it until 2 weeks ago.

And Hogan making a reality wrestling? That's like Big Brother mixed with WWE. Or something. I hate reality TV.

Ya, he held it alot 2002-2005, but that really isn't relevant today is it?
It's really just Hogan taking out his frustrations by aiming at HHH.

I don't blame Hulk for being pissed. Vince has his panties in a bunch over "Celebrity Championship Wrestling"? Seriously? I think Vince is going senile.

Isn't Vince supposed to be like dead or something?

But Hogan should be the last one to talk about HHH.
The man had no ring skills, and was handed his fame by the way he was booker.
Everyone in wrestling only goes as far as they are booker, and Hogan was hand picked to be the superstar of that era. So he shouldn't talk.

Isn't Vince supposed to be like dead or something?

Don't be a dumbass. It's his character.
WWE doesn't even try to pretend wrestling is real when they are not in the show.
That's why heels do autograph signings, Vince does promotional work, and dvd bioographies of the wrestlers focus on behind the scenes and real stuff.
Nobody in the wrestling industry tries to pretend wrestling is real when they are away from the show.
So just because the Mr.McMahon character he plays was crushed by a stage, doesn't mean Vince McMahon the actor can't still be seen.
Just like if Jerry Seinfeld (example) was shot in his show, he can still go on the talk shows and stuff as himself, because what happened was to his tv character.

Hogan is just jelous because he had half of the ammount of title reigns that Triple H had. But then again for 6 years? um look back in history when Hogan was talking about the 80's how it was the best time in wrestling that's because he was the champion for about 4 years straight holding the title if I recall correctly only to be beaten by Andre the Giant.

Let's not mention 1984 then Hogan. I believe that reign might have been a touch longer then any of HHH's reigns.

At least he didn't mention anything about not putting talent over and holding people down.
