Hulk Hogan was reportedly overheard at the recent E3 convention saying that Vince Russo was to blame for the quality of Impact Wrestling, reports The Wrestling Observer. Hogan's comments were in response to fans saying how bad Impact was right now. Hulk was at the convention promoting his new video game

Does Hogan have legitimate beef here? Why doesn't he do something about it if so?

Wasn't Impact better before Hogan got there, and weren't they using Russo at the time as head writer? If so, it seems to me that Hogan is making shit up again.

Impact was only good when Russo wasn't there and they had people like Scott D'Amore, and Cornette booking the shows.

Then they re-hired Russo back in 05 and the shows been shit since. Hogan is just saying the same shit everyone has been saying since people learned the name of Vince Russo.

Hogan is giving lip service for sure, not sure why he would even keep him around, but just goes to show you how much power he really has.

Russo may be partly to blame for the quality but it comes down to the whole writing and booking team. TNA used to have some great feuds but now wrestling has taken a back seat and Hogan/Bischoff have tried to make it a WWE clone. It would be better for TNA if both Russo and Hogan leave, it would save them a lot of money and I am sure the quality of the show will increase.

You are correct sir. TNA was 100 times better than and Russo was head writer back then.

Hogan and Bischoff haven't made enough drastic changes to call TNA worse than it was before. Changing a ring and some camera angles do not make the company worse. Simpe fact is, TNA has always been terrible when Russo was in the booking committee.

Russo keeps getting the benefit of the doubt by TNA management because Jeff Jarrett would constantly go to bat for him, because of loyalty to a guy who got him over in WWF and made him champion in WCW. Dixie Carter keeps him around because she is dumb cunt who couldn't manage a Wal-Mart let alone TNA.

First of all don't talk that way about someone, it is a nasty thing to say, dixie as person does not deserve it, and it makes you sound sexist which I am sure is not your intention.

Back on subject, Russio is the core the problem with TNA, because of his booking, still I think it is fair to say that the product has gotten even worse since Hogan came on board. It is well known that they have a big say in creative, and that Russio has to go through them before putting anything out, also clearly Hogan has pushed for a guy like Abyss to get a push that he wasn't getting before, and that has bombed. So there has been an impact from him and Bish and it has not been a good one.

First off, Keith stfu. You constantly hide behind you're "Hey this is my opinion blah, blah, blah." And yet you are trying to tell me what I can't say. Dixie is a dumb cunt. No other evidence to negate my claims.

It's not just Russo being the problem of TNA. Their management and booking committee just dont' know how to book a show. Firstly everything is run by Jarrett and cronies. Looked over by Bischoff and Hogan and finally stamped by Dixie.

That means the show is looked over multiple times and someone thinks its a good idea. God, I've seen some efed stuff that were better than Impact.

Dixie is an idiot. If she wasn't, she wouldn't have joined with Hogan. Yeah, the guy was in the business, but that doesn't mean he will be great at trying to help run it. He got his friends hired, which were pretty much all people no one gave a shit about for ages, and was pushing THEM instead of people who deserved it and were the fresher, younger faces of TNA.

It's not ALL Hogan and Dixie, of course, as stated in a few posts above. It's the product in general. TNA now is just one big rip off. Fuck, Sting can't even decide who he wants to steal facepaint from next.

Actually Hogan has proven twice now that he can't run it he's had two seperate promotions with most of his former WCW cronies and they both failed.

Is RUSSO (thats how it's spelled your misspelling of the mans name is more of an insult than calling dixie a cunt) at fault no personally I think the fault lies with Dixie because she has setup how it's been managed since TNA was bought out she could have made it so that one man does have the final say but now its' more like a government oversight committee.

Maybe TNA wasn't destined to be anything. I mean it started out on weekly PPVs and was only used as a place where Jarrett could become 4857289x champion and have his buddies working with him.

Nothing really got serious until Panda Energy bought majority shares in the company that it really started going down. Terrible signings, terrible bookings, logic thrown out the door for inane storylines and stupid gimmick matches.

Maybe the company is being used as a tax loophole for a big corporation who had nothing to do with wrestling or anything else.

Maybe they are using it as a write off for tax purposes but they were making a profit a couple of years ago after dropping tens of millions and before bringing in Hogan and co. I don't see why they went that direction when they finally started to turn it around and start making money from the show. They need to become an alternative again that is what will get more fans tuning in. Stop mentioning the competition and start pushing the talent that you have.

I think he was referring to the original post. Hogan delivering the same promo weekly does hurt the quality of Impact. Be better if Hogan was more interested in putting over talent and would help to make the program better by being on it less.
