Lil' Kim in 2014... I'll pass.

I do need some new albums to listen to, though. Sort of out of the loop with current Hip Hop besides people like Meek Mill, ASAP Rocky and SchoolBoyQ.
Skyzoo & Torae - Barrel Brothers is probably something you'd like. Absoul - These days, Pharoahe Monch - PTSD (Black Thought still has probably my favorite verse of the year on it on the track Rapid Eye Movement) Really hope you've listened to the Freddie Gibbs Madlib album by now but if you haven't do that soon.

Just bought Music Unlimited, I'm sure all these will be on there. I'm already a fan of Ab-Soul and Pharoahe Monch. Ab-Soul's "Terrorist Threat" makes me want to start a revolution. Freddie Gibbs with Madlib production sounds incredible, I gotta check that out. Thanks, man.

No problem yeah that Gibbs/Madlib album is amazing and one of my favorites of the year. Oh yeah also have to add in Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo also one of the best projects of the year. Not a bad track on it imo.

Seriously, might go out of my way to post a list of new albums every month in here. But for now SHABBA SHABBA RANKS.

Anyone else listen to the Kendrick To Pimp A Butterfly album? Fucking genius album how it was put together to convey his theme for the album (picking up after the story in GKMC and discusses how he dealt with fame after) Wasn't sure if he was going to be able to top the storytelling he did in Section 80 and GKMC but he really did big time tying every single song into each other and summing it all up in the end with that amazing convo with Pac in the outro. I wasn't big on the song "I" when it first came out but I knew once the album came out it would sound a lot better within the context of the rest of the album which it did. Idk how he keeps topping his storytelling skills but so far he has taken it to a new level each album.

okay just finished the album, and i do agree with every word PHX said about the lyrics, the beats the storytelling and the feel just feels big time and special. I still love GKMC more mainly cause i love the hustle and street stories he told in that. Gotta love how he goes from talking about struggles with fame and how he should be living his life, giving back to his hometown ect, before flipping it to black oppression, then contrasts that with the record labels. AMAZING!

Listen to the album like 5 times over already and understanding the tracks and their meaning even more. Esp fully understanding why he used some of the voice tones and shit that he used on this album. He truly took his time making this album and shaping up the concept. Forgot to mention about the track "i" I love the fact that he made it like a performance version of him performing this song back in compton. I went from thinking "i" was just a good song to thinking it is an amazing song once hearing it within the album and the way he went about putting in the album. Not saying everyone has to love this album but when I see negative comments about the album they all seem to not understand what the album is really about and just strictly going off only how it sounds sonically which sonically the album sounds amazing to me but I understand it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But it does irk me to see some people judging the album without taking the time or effort to actually at least understand the album.

@PHX have you listen to Luda's album yet? I'm a coupl of songs deep and idk it's not looking good. It's defiantly Luda but something's missing, it feels like one of those albums that I will probably only play once now. Then not again until like 4 years later when I'm going through my albums trying to delete shit to free space.
