Paul Heyman (HeymanHustle):

UFC 111 is right around the corner. The night before Wrestlemania, as a matter of fact. Which show outdraws the other?

Do you think that the current card for UFC 111 has any chance at all of outdrawing Wrestlemania 26?

Could any card UFC put together outdraw the biggest PPV of the year put on by the WWE?

^^^Brock Lesnar vs Mark Calloway?

Sorry, I know fuck all about MMA apart from some Brit guy called Bispin is a bit of a 'nearly man' (how typical! LOL)...

However, seeing as the average UFC PPV apparently outdraws your average pro-wrestling one I'd guess it's only a matter of time.

i don't follow UFC but have seen a few matches and played the game. I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) that UFC put the show on that WWE do, I think that is the difference maker, it is hard to make a prdiction having not watched much UFC (but I will do anyway just for the fun of it) but I think WM will be the bigger draw.

No way will UFC 111 out draw Wrestlemania 26. It only has two big name fighters. Those two would be St. Pierre and Frank Mir. Now I definitely believe a UFC PPV in general can out sell Wrestlemania 26. When Lesnar comes back that will be huge. When Liddell returns that will be even bigger. One fight that will draw big is Rampage vs. Rashad. So yes a UFC PPV can out sell WM 26 but UFC 111 will not. It is not a strong enough card to do so.

Generally speaking, A UFC PPV could outsell Wrestlemania. But, UFC 111 wont mainly like Nation said is because the Card isn't as good as a UFC card could be. Now if Rashad/Rampage was on the card that would be a different story. But with the possibility of GSP and Mir, realistically the only real big names on the card simply dominating isn't exactly screaming outselling Wrestlemania.

Frank Mir is the only person in UFC I give a fuck about but even I'd skip his match just to watch Wrestlemania.

Well, I might watch his match and then flip back to WM.

Either way, WM is the biggest wrestling event of the year, I doubt UFC will win the ratings.

Agreed.

A UFC ppv in general can outsell Mania, but not this one. I've been lacking on my UFC lately but the card for UFC 111 doesn't scream "must see".
