I think this answers the 'Do you think I'm weird?' thread. And so the pen writes on.
Through human nature, it has been observed that in different groups, certain activities have been either shunned or praised. Whenever praised, the culprits will continue to run through the activity until it is considered taboo. It is common for groups to signify an outsider by relating and commenting on the specific nature that makes that person an outsider. Through history, avoiding disbandment has been the easiest form of solidifying a bond between group members while keeping outsiders at bay, ultimately strengthening the tribe.
