Ok, so. Try to follow this.
Today, I was downloading a video online. As I did it, an error message came up from my own computer saying it was harmful. So I obviously cancelled.
However, my computer started running slowly. After that, one of he weirdest things ever happened.
A bunch of messages that claimed to be my antivirus software popped up, saying I had harmful content on, and that if I was going to save my computer, I had to click "here" to scan and eliminate it. So I clicked it, thinking it was the real thing. Later, it popped up again, and I realised it was a fake. It had popped up with the same logo and all that as my real anti-virus stuff, but the logo had a minor difference.
After researchign a bit, I found out iit was called a Trojan Downloader or something like that, and that it works by infecting your computer when you download a bad file, and then poses as your anti virus, trying to get you to click it and install the "anti virus software", which will follow up by giving you another harmful virus.

Anyways, now it wont go away, and my real antivirus wont get it off. Any help on how to get rid of it?

wow.... sucks... got the thing for you to do ok

I had this problem, and so did my best friend and I fixed both of our computers... heres what you do in 10 easy steps that I learned ok:

1. Go to control panel and delete ALLLLLLL of the virus and spyware programs you have in there... ALL of them

2. Restart your computer

3. Go to avg.com and download the program

4. Run the program after the download

5. Click Update Now to get it up to date, and then change some settings to your liking for like scans and shit

6. Do a COMPLETE scan.... not a few files... a COMPLETE scan. It might take between 20-40 mins, but trust me, its a god

7. After its done, or during the scan, you'll notice you'll have a fuckload of trojan viruses, so then let it finish scanning. If it has found viruses to be healed, do so

8. Restart your computer once again

9. Your computer should be running 20x faster, and no viruses shall show up

10. Your AVG 8.0 will most likely expire in 30 days (it says the expiration in the bottom left)... 2-3 days before it expires, delete/uninstall the program from control panel, and redownload it avg.com to give you a full year (its like a weird hack I encountered) Also, have AVG do a scan at about 12:00pm everyday, its very helpful

There ya go MikeRaw... trust me on this cause I had to fix 4 peoples computers/laptops due to porn and other random virsuses... including MY laptop, and now ALL of our computers work like a fucking CHARM

TRUST ME and GOOD LUCK!!! :D

yeah nothings more worse than having 2 or more antivirus programs on your computer ALL working at once... thats basically a virus in itself
