As Samoa Joe and the ROH fans, wrestlers and management prepare for the Samoa Joe Farewell Tour, which will take place over the Fifth Year Festival, it is a good time to look back at exactly what Samoa Joe means to ROH.

He made an impact in his first night on 10/5/02 when he battled Low Ki in one of the hardest-hitting matches in ROH history. From there Samoa Joe put together a legendary career in ROH that included must see battles against Kenta Kobashi, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Homicide, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Paul London, James Gibson, Austin Aries, Nigel McGuinness and countless others. From Jushin Liger to Mick Foley to The Briscoes, Joe has battled them all in ROH.
Reading the Samoa Joe results listed below shows you how important and how much Joe has meant throughout ROH's entire history. Now we are fortunate to be able to give this "ROH Legend" the respect he deserves with his final appearances in Manhattan, Philadelphia, Dayton, Chicago and Liverpool. It is a shame but since this ever enforces the given inevitability that Joe will be holding NWA Gold within the year most likely, I am not that worried. ROH is at a breaking point to raise new main eventers to their level, so it is appropriate.
