Now, before you read this, I must tell you, this thread does NOT mea that I think it's used to often, but I wanted to bring it up to see what people think... I've just seen on other news sites, forums, talking to friends, etc, some people think that the WWE uses the Hell In A Cell match too often.
I can sorta see where they're coming from to. If you look at it, there has been (this is a guess, but I know it's around this number) 15 or 16 HIAC's now, and it's only really been around for 10 years. And recently, there's been more than ever... Start in 2005... We had HHH/Batista and Orton/Taker in the SAME year. Only about 6 and a bit months a part. Then, 7 and a half months later, after Orton/Taker, we had DX vs The McMahons, in september... After that, we waited just over a year, before having another great one with Batista/Taker, followed by the next, and most recent one, which is Edge/Taker, only 9 months later.

So now that we have the recent history of HIAC, what do you think. We have had 6 Hell In A Cell's in three years, is that too muich? I don't think it is WAY too much, but I think they could cut down a bit, and try using other gimick matches, such as Iron Man, 3 stages of Hell, Inferno, etc...
So do you think HIAC has been used too often for a "special" match?

The problem isn't just the quantity. The match has become exclusive property to Undie and H. I lobbied for a Cena/Edge HIAC to blow off their great feud. The Angle/HBK feud should've continued longer and that might have warranted this type of match. It's really boring to see the same 2 guys in that match.

I disagree. That match belongs to Taker and HHH. It does, and it would be weird to see any other one inside of it. It would be like having a TLC match without Edge.

I really don't care about how far away they are from each other, because if a feud needs it, it needs it, and not counting the DX vs Mcmahons match, all the feuds you mentioned needed that Hell in a Cell match, because, Ironman it's not really brutal, and Inferno is just laughable, and 3 stages from Hell being saved and kept for something bigger(Edge vs Taker???), so I have no problem.

Picked up off Wikipedia...

That's no where near enough to be overloading on HIAC matches.

Over the last few years, the closest any two HIAC matches have been are about 5months together. Otherwise, there have been 1year gaps in between some of them.

CMS hit the nail on the head too, you cannot overuse them, you can only mis use them. IE; McMahons/Show V DX was misused. It didn't really need the HIAC ienvironment to end their fued, they could've done something else. However, knowing Trips and McMahon, that seems unavoidable...

And yeh, Taker/HHH have been in most, if not all those matches. Those two are pretty big guys (for their own reasons) and can 'hold their own' in the matches.

Taker could probably go into the match alone, stand about in the ring for 20minutes, and that'd still look prospective to the WWE creative team, lol.
