I just had this thought. The heels have almost all the titles.

AJ Styles World Heavyweight or whatever (Hulks/Austins one that matters)
KO Univeral Bandaid
Wyatt Family SD tag team
Women SD Alexa Bliss
Women RAW Charlotte
IC The Miz

Cesaro+Sheamus and Reigns are the only ones I can think of for the faces. Also I have not seen this weeks SD/RAW so things may have changed since Roadblock.

Still to many titles IMHO only need 4 of them.

It's quite common in WWE (or western wrestling as a whole for that matter). Gallant good guy chasing the villain tends to be a better and easier story to tell.

No way is there too many titles.
They've got the top title of each brand, mid-card, women's, tag, and raw has cruiserweight. It's perfect. Allows more people to shine.

Swann is another face that has a title right now....But in my opinion it should still be on The Brian Kendrick!

This happens a lot, with heels holding the titles more. I'm not surprised this is the case right now with most of them holding them. I bet Wrestlemania will be centered around heroes and redemption.

Well...hopefully WWE book Wrestlemania so the faces go over and
everyone leaves happy...

Except the RAW Women's title match...Charlotte should never loose
on Pay-Per-View...Ever...

It makes sense but devalues the titles, see Jim Cornettes comments about it.

To many titles= who cares.

Who is your top "the guy" aka main draw.
Who is the top tag team?
Best women's champion

etc.

Fuck it I see them as completely separate. There is no better champion to me. The top guy is the top guy. On their own brand. That's all that matters to me.

Too many titles? No, not really. It allows more people to shine.

And, all heels will most likely lose their titles at Mania.

I'd argue this has become a trope because of lazy writing. It's easier to make people root for the underdog and the easiest way to create an underdog is to have someone with more accomplishments demean them.

Has there been a successful heel that didn't have a fair amount of titles? I can't think of any but it would be interesting to look over their story arcs and see how they accomplished that.
