Heath Slater: Is he in for a push?

We all saw Heath Slater eliminate Cesaro from the IC title battle royal. Could this mean something, maybe a push, for the one-man band or WWE is just fucking with us?

I' still puzzled at how he lasted in that battle royal but I have a hard time seeing anything coming of it. I mean this would be a good starting point if they did want to push him a little bit but I'd be surprised if anything changed for him anytime soon.

I was pretty surprised by Slayter getting that elimination. Maybe they are giving him a shot!

I don't think it really means anything, but I do find Slater hilarious as a comedy heel and if the IC and US belts weren't on such big name guys and probably about to be unified or something, I could even see them possibly giving him one for a little while.

Santino is the right comparison.

Remember the moment where Santino almost won the Rumble? Or when Maven eliminated Taker? That's the best you could get out of Slater. He's so obviously NEVER going to be world champion so you almost want to route for him when it looks like he's really close to it.

Otherwise he's a jobber. He's just really entertaining at it because he makes the most out of it.
