Re: Fitness thread

Overtime, you'd spend more money going out and buying a smoothie from a joint than you would buying all the necessities and making it yourself.

The Stuntman found a smoothie place down the road from the store I'm working in for the fortnight, really good stuff.

They have Wheatgrass shots as well. ever tried one? I'm intrigued.

Dude, I'm tellling you - you'll save much more money in the long run just buying a blender and making your own lol. I spend about 15 bucks every 20 bucks every two weeks and that beats the 4 dollars a day to go buy it from a joint. But to each their own, lol, I won't preach to you about that again.

As far as wheatgrass, I have yet to try them myself. But I've heard a couple of friends try them out, and they say they're not too bad.

At the moment it's a luxury as I don't have places to get them back home. But I'm hopefully moving soon so I can invest in a blender then.

What sort of stuff do you use to make them?

Re: Health & Fitness Thread

Hey guys, I'm gonna try to gain some weight and I need some tips for a healthy way of doing so. Right now, I'm about 125 lbs, but I'm aiming for 135, anyone have any good methods to gain some quick weight? I'm also looking to hit the gym, turn that weight into muscle, but I'm not much of a body builder. If anyone has some tips for working out that would help as well.

Sorry to double post here, but I'm gonna give this guy some tips.

It's gonna take you a long time to actually start building lean muscle, you're gonna be looking at 5 pounds a month. That being said - if you are trying to bulk, eat lots of red meat like steak and beef tenderloin; pork and bacon isn't too bad but make sure you trim the fat off it. Also, you can throw some complex carbs into your diet as well. Like oatmeal, rice, potatoes, and pasta, but stay away from bread. Other than that, it doesn't really differentiate from your regular diet.

Alright, I helped you. Now help me out!

Re: Health & Fitness Thread

Since I can't run this summer, I've decided to make the switch to bicycle riding. A decent start this past week, did just over 23 miles in about 1.5 hours, plotting to do a 27 mile ride up to Bristol next. Yeah it's only 4 longer but this one is far more hilly.

Very nice, the incline on the hill will give you a nice leg workout indeed.

Personally I prefer biking to running for cardio, I mean, shouldn't it be apparent? lol
