While they may not be instructed to, wouldn't you want your team to have an advantage, however slight? The kid smothered the ball and refused to give it back.

Yes, the kid is a boss for trying it, but I can see why so many people would be frustrated by it. Would I do it myself? Probably not, as I wouldn't want to risk losing the ball boy position which results in watching games for free and interacting with many professional footballers.

Have you watched the incident? Come on man, he wasn't pushed at all lmao. As soon as the ball went to him and it went "past him", you could see full well his intentions were time wasting.

Yeah I have and I'm sorry but I'm struggling to believe that anybody would have done it different, he did no worse than most players do and even fans, maybe he was going to take a little longer but wouldn't anybody in their right mind? My dad would have went ballistic at me if I had just given the ball back as fast as I could, everybody time wastes to a certain degree and he was no different, Hazard acted like a spoilt brat and NEEDS a lengthy ban imo, yeah the kid milked it but wouldn't you? He's probably going to get free tickets to the final and I would be amazed if his family didn't sue Hazard, I don't care what it's about or who you are but you never hit a kid.

I'm not agreeing that he should have done it but can you blame him? That would be an awesome experience, though.

I've never seen a ball boy do something like that in my life. A lengthy ban? Are you joking Cole? He went for the ball and accidentally kicked the little pussy, he should have known better but it was completely innocent. Footballers are human beings, at 2-0 down you need to dish out some sympathy once in a while.

No, I don't and haven't once blamed him, I think it's hilarious. I can just see the other side of the coin, the hate for Hazard is completely unjust and unnecessary.

Cole is just so full of Chelsea-hate.. He can't even recognize reality anymore.

Yeah I'm not being hostile lol.

The guy is a legend, imagine him going to school tomorrow with that story. "Got kicked by Eden Hazard, sick".

Nope, they're not.

Sorry ColeMiner but I can't justify a reply to that, especially as you're demanding an apology from what was an obvious accident.

I killed a man yesterday but I don't have to apologize as it was an accident, that doesn't matter imo, he assaulted a kid and that cannot be condoned, I for one am disgusted that Benitez was shaking his head as well, and Chelsea tweeted that it was never a sending off, once again, he assaulted a minor. If a group of kids were playing footy down the park and a Boro player gave them a bit of aggro the police would be all over it, this is no different imo.

If my uncle had done that to a random kid whilst playing Sunday league he'd have been arrested.

This is fucking hilarious. You are comparing a complete accident where Hazard tries to toe-poke the ball to murder? You are as bad as Sir Alex Ferguson (RVP nearly dead joke). He didn't assault him at all, it was a complete accident and the kid is fucking fine. It was in a very competitive situation, all Hazard should do is apologise and then move on.

If your uncle accidentally kicked a kid by trying to get the ball out, he wouldn't be arrested. I presume he would say "Are you okay? I'm sorry, I meant to hit the ball" - and then it would all be well.

I'm not saying it is on the same calibre but I'm saying just because "maybe" it was an accident doesn't mean he didn't do it, he kicked a random minor in the ribs but that is fine? I'm not saying Hazard is a disgrace but he should be punished, I'm sorry but where I come from no matter how it's done if you kick a random kid when you are a grown man it is very wrong, no matter how it is done, and I'm not going to change my views just because it was a competitive game.

Yes, it's fine! I once threw my little brother on the bed in a play fight, he fell off and hit his head on the wall, should I be arrested for assault? That analogy fits perfectly with this by the way, so don't go and say they are completely different situations. He went to nick the ball away from the boy with his toes, that was obvious so putting it in quotations is moronic. He accidentally kicked the boy instead -- not very hard either -- and it's blown up into a massive thing. You are calling for a lengthy football ban because of a complete accident infused by a competitive semi-final match and a ballboy trying to gain an illegal advantage?

You should apply for a job at FA, you'd fit in perfectly.
