I just said it because there is just the feel, rumor, and theory of Roman Reigns returning to being The Guy next year

I understand where you are coming from, but knowing Vince by now everything the fans wants go through one ear out the other.

So it just seems obvious that Roman will be Main Eventing Mania after Mania again...
Probably...

Its all part of a larger plan...

Keep Reigns in the mid-card for the bulk of year
& then elevate him heading into Rumble/Mania
season while hoping the fans don't turn on him
again.

Maybe Vince will try & give him another Rumble
victory? Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Vince is an out of touch old man who is set in
his ways & won't listen to reason.

I just find it so sad that the only way Reigns
could get over as a face was to defeat a life
threatening illness.

I actually feel sorry for Roman...

There is a lot to like about the guy...

He can work a solid match, has a good look,
will take plenty of bumps & is clearly dedicated
to the WWE...which I can respect...

HOWEVER...

He's boring, over pushed & horribly miscast
as the "Face of the Company"

"Silent Assassin/Enforcer" Roman Reigns
would have been perfect...BUT...Vince had
other ideas.

:idk3:

What can you do?

Oh...I know...

Watch AEW instead!

If we are gonna talk about Roman Reigns having a heel turn, then one must mention The Raw After Wrestlemania when Roman defeated The Undertaker.

The heat roman had that night was absolutely nuclear, unreal and the last time ive EVER seen someone get that level of hatred was ECW One Night Stand with John Cena VS RVD, that crowd hated John to such a crazy level.

Imagine, Roman just beat the deadman the crowds hating on him so much he cant speak. Now just imagine he rubs it in their faces bashes the deadman and full on turns heel and just rubs it in like salt in the wound, the heat would go from Nuclear to the SUN ITSELF, and it would probably be one of the all time great heel turns in history.

Have a feeling that Roman will be top dog again next year. They did the same thing with Cena in 2012. They let punk have his time in the spotlight while Cena had some feuds and title matches but nothing major.

I have feeling reigns is in a similar spot right now. Let’s test Seth and build him and then put the belt back on Roman later.

Dude...there have been so many "Perfect" moments
for a Reigns heel turn...but the WWE has never taken
advantage of any of them.

People just need to realize it ain't happening...and even
if it does...it will probably be so late in his career that any
true impact that could have been made will be long dead.

Part of me believes the WWE will actually build the Fiend
up to have him defeated by Roman.

I mean that's what you do in wrestling isn't it?

Build up a Monster to have a "Hero" slay them...

I kind of hope the WWE does that...just to read/see
the reactions of the fans.

To be honest I thought he was going to be the first to beat The Demon King

What would be extremely horrible is if Vince served him The Demon and The Fiend on a Silver Platter to beat

Also they can even turn Roman Heel now. He can pull a turn mentioning how screwed up it was for Cancer to be the reason they cheer him.....

It can be as simple as that

Oh..i didnt know you can enter peopels nightmares and see them! get out of my head! lol

Ya know, not to go too off topic, but i had a realization about you and not liking Brays current gimmick. And you can correct me if im wrong.

The beautiful thing about it, is you dont hate it because its bad, you dont hate it because the writing is bad, or Brays performance is bad, or any of that stuff.

You hate it, simply because its just not your thing, you dont care for the mask and character, not because its bad or not done well, but just because creativly your just not a fan of it.

That should always be the ONLY reason you or anyone doesnt like a character, but instead people hate alot of characters through no fault of their own, thanks to terrible writing and restricted in ring work, but Bray he can say what he wants and he does it well. You have said it yourself you like Bray, just not the direction he went with his character.

If only the same could be said for other characters, that they were liked or not liked based on personal preference, not being objectively bad with terrible writing and in ring work being restricted, like Roman to tie this back in, he was fine with the shield...remember the Royal Rumble before WrestleMania 30? when Batista came back? Roman was over! he got tons of eliminations and everyone wanted him to win! if there was EVER a time that was it! but instead batista won and everyone was mad.

Too be honest my main issue is the mask design itself...
its just so...meh to me. But you are basically 100% on
the money.

Bray is still one of my favorite performers...despite the
cheating on his wife & his terrible win/loss record...but
this entire Firefly Funhouse/Fiend gimmick does nothing
for me.

I think it would have been perfect for someone new...
but I guess I was such a Wyatt Family "mark" everything
else just feels wrong or off to me.

If the WWE had simply taken their time & built Reigns
up as a singles wrestler...I think it could have worked.

Instead of rushing him to the top (when he clearly wasn't
ready) for Wrestlemania 31...a slow, calculated push with
a solid mid-card title reign over the course of a year & then
you pull the trigger at Wrestlemania 32...that would have
worked.

Let the fans have Lesnar/Bryan at Wrestlemania 31 &
have Reigns win the I.C title ladder match, hold the I.C
title for 9 months, silently & stoically defending it every
week...build the guy up with solid matches...hell...give
him an undefeated streak if you want...just build him up
slowly & surely.

In saying that...I don't believe Reigns has the character or
charisma to be "The Guy" & I don't think better writing will
change that.

Like I said...the "Silent Assassin/Enforcer" role would have
been perfect for Reigns...especially if he turned & was hired
(like a mercenary) by The Authority/McMahons...but...they
decided to cast him as "Cena 2.0" & a lot of damage was
done early with those terrible, cringe inducing promos.

Like I said...I don't personally hate Reigns...I just hate how
he is booked.

To me he would have been better with a New Age Samoan Goldberg Persona.

So when he faces Lesnar it will look like he would have a fighting chance

But they booked him as a Low Budget John Cena 2.0 with a SWAT appearence

No disrespect to John but they got so addicted to Cena's gimmick, image, and draw they cannot come up with something new for this day and age

This thread is heading way off topic now but I gotta ask:

Which face should beat The Fiend? An established star, or somebody they are going to push?

Face Aleister Black would be my choice. But it shouldn't happen until some time next year.

Hey...better your nightmares than mine...which basically all
involve me being whipped & tortured by Charlotte & Lacey.

Oh wait...those aren't nightmares...

I want to see The Fiend, Demon Balor & Aleister Black together
in a faction that takes over the WWE. Maybe even add the War
Raiders as the muscle...or even Harper & Rowan for old time sake.

He will be back and he will break Flair's "record." I mean, it is meaningless to people who have brains and know that Flair is a 21 time world champion, not a 16 time one. But since people believe this nonsense, and Flair really, really likes Cena, there will eventually be a match where Cena takes a 17th world championship. I have no doubt of that.

Why would the WWE want Flairs record to be broken? Unless he pisses off the company (trying to trademark "The Man" could annoy Vince) I think they will just have 16 be the tied record that a select few greats will have but never surpass. Cena is currently the only other one

Does that mean Charlotte will eventually get to be a 21 times Women's Champion?

:sonic:

I mean she's already technically at 10 (1x NXT, 1x Divas, 4x RAW & 4x SDL).

I honestly think Orton may get to 16 as well...

Especially considering he's unlikely to leave
to pursue an acting career.

How many is Seth on? Not including NXT he has won the Universal title twice, and the WWE Championship 2 times IIRC

If we are talking WWE World Championship wins he is a 4 time World Champion

2 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion
2 Time WWE Universal Champion

However if we are to include world titles in total from any promotion then hes a 11 time champion, most notably his 4 time WWE wins 1 time NXT and 1 time ROH world title win, the rest are indie promotions but still.

2 Time AAW (All American Wreslting) World Champion
1 Time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion
1 Time FIP (Full Impact Pro, dont think its same as current well known impact) World Heavyweight Champion
1 Time MCPW (Mr Chainsaw Productions Wreslting(...i have many questions) World Heavyweight Champion
1 Time ROH (Yup Ring of Honor) World Champion
1 Time NXT World Champion
2 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champuon
2 Time WWE Universal Champion

Interestingly enough Roman Reigns is only a 4 time champion aswell for WWE, 3 Time WWE World Champion and 1 time WWE Universal Champion, however unlike rollins he hasnt had titles outside WWE, Rollins has many other titles like tag team championships and such

Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley since im on the subject anyway has 10 total world title wins counting indie promotions.

2 Time CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling) World Heavyweight Champion
1 Time FIP World Heavyweight CHampion (Same as Rollins)
3 Time HWA (Heartland Wrestling Association) World Heavyweight Champion
1 Time MPW (Mad Pro Wrestling) heavyweight Champion
2 Time IPW (Insanity Pro Wrestling) Heavyweight Champion
1 Time WWE World Champion

How on earth was Seth Rollins a champion in a indie promotion called, of all things, Mr Chainsaw and NOT Jon Moxley!?!?

These are the real questions we need to be asking.
