Has The Finale Ruined The Entire Series

Came across an article today on the net on top 10 TV series, where the series finale ruined the entire series. I scrolled through the list and began to think that I've watched several series where the series finale was less than good, but I don't think I could say it ruined the entire series for me. Shows like Lost and Las Vegas (granted that's cause they thought they had another season), Dexter all come to mine of shows that I would say the finale was not good. But, and this is especially true for Lost I still would say I loved the rest of the series.

SO I ask the rest of this forum, has a series finale of any show completely ruined that entire show for you?

With your example of Las Vegas I'd never consider something like that a Series finale.

But yeah there's a lot. Newhart (old I know I studied it in school though) made the whole show a dream sequence for the bob newhart show. Talk about making your show seem kinda pointless.

Dexter finale was fucking atrocious but by that point the show had already became a meme bc the whole season was pretty bad so I was looking forward to seeing how shitty it was lol

Quantum Leap
How I met your mother

Both stick out for me. QL was not expected to end though so theres that but even after that they tacked on the Sam Becket never made his way home. They didn't even spell the main characters name correctly.

Found the ending to How I Met your Mother kinda lazy. Feel like it'd have been better to say at the end the woman I've been referring to as Aunt Robin is your mom and I didn't meet robin until blah blah blah. Like Oh I met your mom 10 years after I started the story and told you about these irrelevant people. Knew her for 16 years she's dead now and I'm going to start boning robin again

The last season of How I Met Your Mother completely ruined what it had done the previous 8 years. Like mentioned above, the finale was just lazy. That’s what happens when you decide your finale in Season 1 of a show that ends up having 9 seasons.

Had forgotten about HIMYM, that's a pretty good shout that made me never want to go back and watch it again lol.

Agree with Chris the last few seasons of Dex had already fallen off a cliff so we were waiting for a merciful end lol

On the other side of the spectrum I'd say while GoT finale was a kick in the nuts as well most of the last season, the rest of the show still holds up and was quality TV

Surprised no one has mentioned Lost.

Sopranos people love or hate.

House had the same wishy wash BS that dexter had.

I have 0 issues with the Sopranos ending too, the interpretation of Tony dying makes perfect sense and they'd really set that up all season with little hints (talking about how you don't hear the shot for instance)
