Unfortunately, too many people have a false idea of black metal and the type of people who listen to it.

Older black metal had more of the 'evil, satanic' messages. A lot of modern black metal is about the seasons, nature and poetry.
A lot of people can't stomach the singing, either (well, shrieks....). Black metal is more for the riffs, not so much the vocals.

I have a ton of band shirts, and, of course, a lot of black metal bands don't speak English, so my bosses give me shit because my shirts aren't English so they think it says something bad. Fuck 'em.
Anyway, blasting black metal is the best, it makes me want to beat the shit out of someone. There doesn't even have to be a reason to beat them up whatsoever.
