Holy shit, if it wasn't common knowledge the PS3 is superior to the 360 in raw power and easily graphical power it is now. Halo Reach had a massive budget and it's the 360's biggest game. Resistance 2 is the sequel to the very successful launch title Resistance Fall of Man but it's no where near Sony's flagship title. Damn this has to fucking hurt so bad for everyone who is a 360 fanboy or prefers the 360. This is a fucking game from 2008 that was made in one year without a massive budget like Reach has and it looks and performs better. Absolutely fucking pathetic. It's sad to see mediocre sales for Resistance 2. I always loved the game but I never realized until now it's actually quite a graphical powerhouse and it's incredible performance wise with the amount of enemies it can hold on screen without a drop in performance like Reach has when fighting gets clustered and chaotic. If the debate about what console has better graphics and performance wasn't over, it is now. Reach does look great but this is just fucking weak. lol. This is a fucking pro 360 site too as all most always it votes 360 multi-platform games the better version even in cases where the PS3 version is actually better and it's the go to source for graphical comparisons. I have a new found respect for Resistance 2 and Insomniac Games.

So, uhm, a game is graphically more advanced than Halo Reach, then it's a better game? Weak. Seriously.
And that's why, you said it yourself, Resistance 2 has mediocre sales. Graphics is only part of the pack. I must suppose the rest isn't much worthy.

Side note: I don't remember anybody claiming 360 is the most advanced console out there, because we all know it's not. However it does have the best exclusive games. When the first xbox came out, it was far better than PS2 in purely technological terms, but it took a long while to develop good games, and that's why PS2 ended up so successful.

Now roles are inverted and let's look at wiki:

Worldwide sales figures

1. Wii – 75.90 million as of 30 September 2010 (2010 -09-30)
2. Xbox 360 – 44.6 million as of 28 October 2010 (2010 -10-28)
3. PlayStation 3 – 41.6 million as of 30 September 2010 (2010 -09-30)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Console_wars

PS3 got humiliated by a far inferior console like Wii (and that's were all the talks ''PS3 has better graphics'' die) and got his ass kicked by the direct rival too.

Side note 2: Halo Reach isn't even that great of a game. Under many aspects, Halo 3, despite being totally inferior in graphics, still offers a much more enjoyable experience online.

I don't see what the big deal is about these console wars anyway. I think all of the systems are fun to play. I would much rather have a PS3 than the 360 I have, but I am proud to be a 360 owner and got the 360 because it was cheaper than the PS3. I have played the same games on a friends PS3 and the same one on my 360 and obviously PS3 has better graphics, but I had equal amounts of fun on both. I really don't see the big deal and continuous bickering of "fanboys and girls" about which system is the best. It is an argument that will never produce a winner (and becomes a complete waste of time).

We have a Wii somewhere in the house too, I think it is in a box in the basement :-\

Nope, I never said it makes it a better game. Only the fact that it's pathetic a PS3 game from 2008 out performs and looks better then the 360's flagship title that was released in 2010. Sales has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the game, only the popularity of it. Most 360 fans bring up sales because they have nothing else to rely on and if you want to talk about sales well GT5 outsold Forza 3 in a fucking week. Not here but many 360 fanboys claim it is the most advanced console. As for exclusives, lol. Like Crackdown 2? Something that should be an expansion pack and truly looks fucking horrid? Halo 3 ODST? Another expansion labeled as a full game? Left 4 Dead 2? Yet another should be expansion. It's fun but it has no story to it and it should easily be an expansion. The disappointing Fable 3 with just an 81 average on metacritic? PS3 easily has the best exclusives, no contest anymore.

The PS3 is sure getting it's ass kicked. It absolutely rapes the 360 in Japan. It's taken over in Europe. It's had a late start and it doesn't sell rip off units at a lower price($200 360 with no fucking hard drive). You can't ignore those facts and it's sales. Sales is interesting and all but it has nothing to do with the features, games or quality of the console. How do the talks of PS3 having better graphics die? It's sales lol. Nothing to do with the graphics.

I guess that's a matter of opinion. Personally, I think Reach looks 10x better but I can't say what's the better game as I've only played a little of both games. My step brother who is a Halo fanboy hates Halo 3 online now he says there is too many cheaters now but he loves Reach so I don't know. Speaking of Resistance 2, he doesn't have a PS3 and he played it and says it's just as good online as Halo is. Obviously that's just an opinion but it's comparing the quality of both games.

The day any exclusive of the PS3 will tie what the Gears of War and the Halo franchises are for the 360, I'll agree with you.

PS2 sales:
Worldwide 147.6 million

PS3 lost more than 100 millions of customers.
Now, what's PS3 price now? Multiple that for 100 millions, that's Sony's loss. I'm sure they're VERY happy.
Under any point of view, it's a major fail.

Reach does look better than Halo 3 obviously, but the game has still a lot of limits. Most notably, the maps.
Not saying it's a bad game, but definitely not that greatness. The fact that a random PS3 game has better graphics hardly surprises me, considering the better engine PS3 has.

This. I bought a 360, I'm happy with that. I'm sure if I had bought a PS3, I'd be as happy as I am with the 360. Each console has its pro and its cons.
Hell, even Wii's engine is way inferior to both, yet incredibly innovative.

Gran Turismo? It's a far bigger franchise than Gears of War is. If you want to look at it sales wise, Gears of War 2 has sold 6 million and Gran Turismo 5 is on the verge of selling 5 million and it hasn't even been out for two months yet. It's Sony's Halo(not an FPS obviously but name wise). GT5P a glorified demo has sold over 4 million. Even the PSP game with all of the piracy has sold well. Uncharted will become as big as Gears. It's sold over 4 million so far and it's going to keep selling especially with Uncharted 3 coming this year. LBP is a big franchise too. It's sold over 4 million copies as well. Metal Gear Solid 4 has sold over 5 million.

The XBOX only sold 24 million, that's the only major fail. There are numerous reasons as to why PS2 consumers haven't bought a PS3. The HD gen has proven to be more expensive so alot of people are waiting for another price drop, some market share was obviously lost to the 360 with it being the cheaper option and especially the Wii. Others don't feel the need to upgrade now and for whatever reason are happy sticking with their PS2

I wasn't referring to the graphics actually. I meant as in the quality of the title. Halo 3 was early on in the gen and it was rushed to launch soon after the 360. Bungie went all out on Reach except for graphics apparently or they got as much out of the 360 as they can. So I've heard about the maps but everything else looks better. But again, I can't say as I haven't fully played both games. The fact that an old PS3 game from 2008 made in one year by a developer hasn't even touched the PS3's peak graphical capability looks better then Microsoft's flagship game with a massive budget and long development time from is pretty surprising and pathetic.

And original Xbox was a far better console than PS2, but it didn't have good games. See the point? And it wasn't a major fail. It was an attempt to compete in what at the time was a closed market. It still got outsold badly, but Microsoft learned from its mistakes. It's not so much important how advanced the console it is, games matter more, and market strategies do too. Sony ended up losing hundreds of billions of dollars.
They are probably still crying.

Again, hardly big news. PS3 engine is better, if fully used, PS3 games are without a doubt better under graphical terms.
Now that it comes to my mind, Smackdown vs Raw was originally exclusive to PS2. I tried the Wrestlemania XXI game for the Xbox at the time, graphics were infinitely better than PS2 wrestling games, however the game sucked ass. Why? Because the Xbox engine was better than the PS2 one, yet that's all they had, graphics. That's our case.
Graphics ultimately aren't that big of a deal. They don't make games overall better than others nor consoles.

lol I'll pretend I didn't hear that. The PS2 played DVD's right out of the box but for XBOX you had to buy a plug in device. XBOX only had Halo and Fable for games. The PS2 had too many games. Technically the XBOX is capable of better graphics yet God of War 2 looks just as good as Halo 2. Some multi-platform games looked slightly better on XBOX and a few games out right performed better like Splinter Cell but they never really utilized the power of the console. Really it was just sweet that the XBOX could hold music onto the console. It couldn't even play DVD's without some plug in device so the PS2 reaped all of the benefits of DVD. It was a major fail. To sell a little as 24 million when the PS2 out sold it by over a hundred million units and hardly take any fucking market share back at the time, is a major fail and to see every console this generation all easily past it with years more on their lifespans is a major fail. Not to mention it lost the company over 4 billion dollars. They lost a billion dealing with the RROD and they have lost money on selling the XBOX 360 itself. I believe it's profitable now but for awhile just like the PS3 it was loosing money on each console sold. Much worse then loosing 3 billion for Sony which obviously does suck but now it's making profit and money that was lost when the PS3 wasn't making profit was gained through published games, hardware add on devices, and the PS2 and PSP selling and making money. Corporations go through their hard times all the time. Sony has bounced back tremendously. As for loosing hundreds of billions of dollars, lol no you're quite confused. Big difference from 3 million and hundreds of millions of dollars lol.

I have no idea what SD vs. RAW game you played on the PS2 but ever since SD vs. RAW 2007, the graphics on the PS2 for SD vs. RAW have looked much better then the XBOX WWE games. I'm no graphics whore but graphics is a big category and the PS3 has it won along with power. While they don't actually make games better than others, it does help quite a bit. Now God of War 3 is just plain better in every way then Dante's Inferno but comparing the same style of games, graphics is a big deal for this kind of thing. No one unless they only have a 360 is going to prefer Dante's Inferno an average looking multi-platform game to God of War 3 the best looking game this generation currently. So no graphics don't actually make games better but they certainly do help. Say Infamous vs. Crackdown 2 or Halo Reach vs. Killzone 2 or Resistance 2, the respective PS3 exclusives look better and that's a big advantage.

Nation, what got you so butthurt to start this thread? I don't really care what system I own. I bought a 360 because at the time I wanted a PS3 it would have cost me damn near a grand. Fuck that, I have better things to do than spend hours upon hours gaming. The funniest thing about the 360 and PS3 is despite their technical superiority, they are so far behind in sales and so far behind the curve in what the general public wants, that each have blatantly ripped of the real King of Consoles, especially the PS3, holy fuck what a blatant rip off, right down to the design of the control pads. And I still stand by it, Nintendo always has had the best exclusives on every single generation of gaming. Super Mario Galaxy 2, both Zelda games, Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart Wii have given me more hours of fun than even Gears of War 2. The only fun PS3 exclusive is Little Big World. God of War, as a platformer is fun, but nowhere near as incredible as SMG 2. And again, you can taunt me for playing the Wii, a game opinon is completely subjective.

But the fact of the matter is that the Wii OWNS the PS3. In sales, better exclusives and in general, a better concept. At least Microsoft didn't straight up rip off Nintendo and went a more advanced route. Sony fans, enjoy that third place.

I've always appreciated that about Nintendo. While the other guys are far more worried about how pretty they can make their games look, Nintendo says let's go out and make something fun.

In regards to Nation, he's a PS3 fanboy. If he could fellate a PS3, he would. TBH I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he's actually tried. At this point I've learned to take all of his video game opinions with a grain of salt because his bias is so blatant.

Of the PS3 Move, I was loitering at a Barnes and Noble and laughed so hard that coffee almost came out my nose when I was reading a random video game mag and it had a side bar reviewing the Move games it gave out one award to "the only Move game that didn't suck." And I played GT5, big deal how much it sales or how good it looks, its nowhere near as awesome as the first four when they debuted nor is it superior to any of the new NSP games out there right now.

lol you sure have great wrestling knowledge and background but your opinions on videos games is worthless when you say the Wii is better. Now I like the Wii actually don't get me wrong but the fucking thing doesn't even play DVD's. I don't taunt you for playing the Wii. I have a fucking Wii. I have Metroid Prime Trilogy(the best collection in video game history arguably) , The Conduit and Resident Evil. Obviously yes it's beating it in sales. It's hilarious that you say Microsoft didn't rip off of Nintendo when they ripped off Sony. The Kinect is basically an advanced Eyetoy. The PlayStation Move while obviously similar isn't a rip off. It has one to one motion tracking(extremely precise motion controls far better then the Wii Motion Plus) and it has a camera to track your movements and it has similar features with the Eyetoy in regards to Kinect. It's kind of like a combination. The set up is the same thing but the technology is far from a rip off when it's actually superior in tech.

I'm just pointing out how a PS3 game from 2008 looks better then Microsoft's flagship title released in 2010. Am I luring some fanboys and provoking a console war? Yes I won't lie but it's just a further advantage the PS3 has and it's a big deal(console wars perspective) that Resistance 2 not only looks better but out performs Halo Reach in performance. Right now the PS3 is affordable. I'm not saying you should go out in get one only pointing out facts and I understand that you and others made the decision to buy a 360 over a PS3 when the PS3 was very expensive. For the record, I didn't buy a PS3 at launch. But now it's a different story and it's affordable.

You really aren't that informed on video games at all. Sony was ripped off for their control design. Sony perfected the modern controller. Nintendo made some strange NES controller. Microsoft ripped off fucking Sony with their controller, just swapping one of the joystiq positions. That's two rip offs. First their controller(which Sony perfected not Nintendo) and then Kinect which is an advanced Eyetoy. I won't deny that Nintendo has a grand line up of exclusives and first party game but Sony's is better. You want Mario? You can make a fucking Mario level in LittleBigPlanet. Hell you can even make shooters and about anything now in the new one. Nintendo is the fucking king of platformers. I won't dispute that but it doesn't have a wide range of genres like the PS3 does. Shit for open world games. The PS3 has Infamous and Infamous 2 coming. Overall the PS3 lineup and quality(see metacritic) is better.

Apparently you don't know what LittleBigPlanet or ModNation Racers is. These are games that aren't concerned with graphics instead they focused on making fun games. There are others too. For the 360 as well. My knowledge in video games FAR exceeds yours. I'm not saying that makes me better then you or anything it's just fucking video games but I am much more informed on the subject than you're. As I'm sure you're much more informed on other topics than I am. If I was actually a "fanboy" I would support nothing but Sony. Those are what true fanboys are. I have a Wii, I had every system last generation, I had a GBA and a DS and in fact I might actually even prefer the DS over the PSP. Fucking Pokemon alone almost rivals everything on the PSP. I won't deny that XBOX Live is superior to the PSN. It just has better features and a neat set up. I never said Halo Reach was a bad game or anything only how Resistance 2 looks better and out performs it. I think Reach looks fucking awesome and I like the Gears of War franchise. Not much else besides these two franchises(Fable looks good but it's not going to touch Fallout).

Of the PS3 Move, I was loitering at a Barnes and Noble and laughed so hard that coffee almost came out my nose when I was reading a random video game mag and it had a side bar reviewing the Move games it gave out one award to "the only Move game that didn't suck." The lineup of Move games does suck at the moment, quite true. Not any worse than the lineup of Kinect, however. The Move is receiving better critic reviews than Kinect. Kinect looks pretty neat, I won't deny but currently it has some issues and Move is just more advanced. Perhaps this could change in the future through firmware updates but the critics and consumer reviews speak from themselves at the moment. I won't lie I do think it's quite Blue to stand up and move around without a controller(especially for some genres like racing which is just fucking silly) but the tech looks neat and it has a lot of potential to do more.

Re: Halo Reach the 360's flagship title owned by Resistance 2 a PS3 exclusive from 20

Double post but I don't care, this is in regards to many of not knowing the true definition of a "fanboy". Is the PS3 my favorite console? Yes, I never denied this and I have numerous reason as to why it is. If you like the lineup of exclusives for the Wii or the 360 or you like XBOX Live then I would see and understand why you prefer either of those respective consoles. I've come across many fanboys through the internet(sites like IGN, Gamespot, Joystiq, VGChartz, Youtube user, etc) and I've had personal experiences with a few fanboys. One of them was a Nintendo fanboy. He completely avoided any opinions, logical facts, and discussions on the matter of anything but Nintendo or versus Nintendo. He hated Sony products despite never even playing anything against except a few games from awhile ago on the PS2 or PS1. I don't recall which maybe both I'm not sure. He owned a PS3(his father owns a comic shop and sells video game shit) and yet he put never made an attempt to try it out through it's games, features or anything. Whenever we discussed it and especially in comparisons to any Nintendo device he would praise Nintendo like they're God like despite never giving Sony devices a chance and misinformed on all most everything in regards to the PS3, Sony, the PS2, and any comparisons being made to Nintendo. The only game he was in "interested" in for the PS3 was oddly Heavenly Sword(not a big name exclusive, very disappointing sales, and the overall quality compared to other more notable exclusives is lacking). He never even remotely considered the potential of liking any games the PS3 has. Fanboys don't acknowledge anything whether it be opinions, facts, or arguments against their respective chosen console and whichever of the big three they support. He thought the 360 was decent and liked some of it's games but he is a fanboy. He never even attempted to give anything labeled PlayStation a chance and yet he shitted all over anything labeled as such and praised Nintendo like they're God like and completely ignored anything. Eventually he did start to consider opinions and considerations but fuck it was the biggest pain in the ass to even make him consider such things because he is a fanboy.

I've come across many 360 fanboys and PS3 fanboys as well. They're the same. In fact the vast majority of HD console owners don't count Nintendo in the console wars and only consider it to be a battle of the HD consoles. Again, the PS3 is my console of choice but I'm not a fanboy. I won't ignore anything regarding the rival consoles. I'll make my opinions, point out facts and throw up arguments but that doesn't make me a fanvboy. In the paragraph below I described what a fanboy is. I also have a Wii, I've never owned a PSP(I've had a DS) and I'm most certainly likely to get the 3DS over the PSP2. As I previously mentioned I won't deny that XBOX Live has more to offer then the PSN does and I like the Halo and Gears of War franchise. Eventually I will get a 360 but there are things I'd rather have at the moment and I'll wait until there are is an overall better quantity and quality of exclusives titles.
