As seems to be becoming tradition for the series, Halo 4 will require quite a bit of storage to play. Specifically, Xbox.com notes that players will need "at least an 8GB USB flash drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive" in order to play Halo 4's multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the hard drive option is "highly recommended" for those seeking an "optimal" experience.
We've contacted Microsoft to see what differences there will be between each option – and exactly what is meant by the fairly all-encompassing term "multiplayer" – but, in the meantime, one thing is clear: in the off chance that you might want to play some Halo 4 multiplayer, you'll need some storage to do it.

Damn that's a lot of memory for multiplayer mode. Better be some good stuff packed into that 8GB then. A lot of work must of went into it and from what I've seen so far, the multiplayer for the game looks very good. Anyway this is not a problem for me since I have a 250GB HDD and you'd assume 8GB should not be a problem for anyone these days. 250GB HDD's are cheap anyway. At least it isn't an 8gb download or even a smaller couple gig's download. Hate them, I especially hated the BF3 one.
I bet Halo 4 will be 2 discs.
Can't wait for the game.
