Bonjour my name is Dionysus, and I am here...to elevate the forum beyond your wildest imagination.
ahem, sorry about that, just had to get my ego out of the way. I am a bit of an on again, off again wrestling fan. It was one of my favorite entertainment growing up, so much so that I even sought out to educate myself about the history, from tracking down old AWA shows to learning about the origins of various styles. Eventually at some point in 2015 I kinda lost interest, the general product wasn't just doing it for me and I didn't have ease of access for a lot of indy shows (the consequences of being a third-world fan). I would still catch up on bigger events whenever I could, so I kept up with the general rise of superstars and the like. In about 2019 I started watching wrestling regularly again, access to shows was much easier where I lived. I started regularly watching wrestling again, though mostly non-WWE or AEW stuff.
I would personally that I lean more towards the memphis style of wrestling, I am a sucker for hardcore wrestling and big storylines, old school faces and heels battling it out in empty arena brawls. More recently I have also became heavily invested in Joshi (STARDOM is some good stuff). But generally I don't really dislike any style of wrestling, I think as an entertainment medium we should appreciate how diverse wrestling is with its myriad of styles, and I think deriding any one style as 'too flashy' or 'too oldschool' just does harm more than anything.
So yeah anyways how do I end this hmm, oh how about another round of egotism, that always sets a good tone in introductions.
I hope you have been entertained, of course you have nothing I say isn't entertaining, I am a charisma bomb that explodes and makes the forum x100 brighter
