Its clear giys like ziggler,mark henry,great khali,swagger,and maybe even del rio got career boosts guys like piper, dibiase,hennig,didnt get and can call themselves champ even though they were never the real champ, going last on ppvs.my que X tion is if wwe had 2 titles in the 70s 80s,90s who woulda got title reigns despite not being the real champ.im tjinking owen hart.jyd.razor ramon.

Yeah they could have said they were "former world champs" but they'd be remembered as much as they are now. Ziggler got nothing from his title reign. Del Rio could have done what he did with the WHC with the IC title instead and then that one wouldn't be so rarely defended. There's not many upsides to having two world titles without a brand extension.

Not really. Because where did the second title come from in the first place? WCW so those guys had at least two televised options for the better part of two decades. Some could claim three or four at points. Henry and Khali (political) would have been champs anyway.

Real question is what does this do for length of Reigns shorter or longer?

WWE Championship reigns (if they get rid of the WHC) should be lengthy. When nobody can hold the strap, they look like they never should have gotten it in the first place.

What should happen is a focus on the IC title for most of these guys, including former champs (Cena should definitely be the catalyst to returning the IC title to its former role of stepping stone to a WWE Championship shot).

Titles are like supermodels, if everyone got them, they wouldn't be super anymore.

That doesn't mean anything, but I think neither does the point this thread was trying to make tbh.
