The GYV's are a case of WWE trying to fix what didn't really need fixing. They had their own look and identity as no-nonsense guys who just can kick ass and trash talk and be bullies, but maybe it wouldn't have worked on the main roster? Maybe that case, they could have felt what worked and didn't and modified as needed. But they went with the rebrand route and attached them to a group which just doesn't click. I like Joe Gacy as a performer, but his introduction (as a racist billionaire's depiction of what it means to be "Woke" or PC) soured me, then they took him in a creepy direction with some aspects maybe working, but feels just like a shallow version of the Wyatt Family. Just creepy because. (And God that Bron feud was weird as fuck)

Gibson and Drake didn't really need to be part of it or that group. They will probably be able to get work easily wherever. Will they be released? Who knows.

I remember when I first watched The Grizzled Young Vets with Progress they got me worked up because of what they were doing. Now outside of WWE Waters they can get back to the greatness I saw with them back then.
