Good thread idea and here's something to think about...

You are all talking about who carried the company or how the company wouldn't have been there if certain people didn't do certain things but who would you have chosen as the best World Champ based on how intesrting there title run was. Jarrett and AJ were probably the best from the start but once the other guys got their they had some better runs. Kurt Angle did do alot and pretty much carry TNA for a while but that doesn't make his reign the best it just makes him one of the best wrestlers but not champion (although he is one of the best champs but still). Samoa Joe's title reign has been the worst EVER! It could be worse then Rhino's because even though Rhino had the title for about a month and it sucked, Joe had the title for alot longer and it was boring as fuck so that adds up to worse imo. I didn't see Ron Killings so I can't say anything about that, Stings = terrible. Abyss' was quite good, it was good for a change from who had it back then and he done the job alright. I didn't see Ken Shamrocks and I saw bits of Raven and they didn't seem to be anything to special. The best was Christian Cage's title reign!!! When he was going for the title and won the title is pretty much when most people began watching because it was not so long after he left WWE and he done a great job as Champ. Great matches and Angles/Feuds with a few different wrestlers which makes his the best. So it's not really about what they have done for the company but what they have done as champion of the company.....

Obviously Jeff Jarrett, the guy was Total Non-stop Action from the start. He portrayed his heel character to perfection and held on to the Championship for months... nobody could have done it all better than Jarrett.

Kurt Angle.

People can talk about how giving him all the belts was a dumb idea, blah blah blah, but Angle has done a lot to put TNA on the map imo. Angle was carrying the company (almost) single handedly, and has put over the only 3 TNA 'originals' this year, AJ (3 or 4 times), Joe and Jarrett.

Completely agree. Sure, TNA would not be here today without Jarrett or Styles, but Angle successfully carried the company through its more important period. He took the company and got it really noticed, and made TNA something even the causal fan new about. He also put TNA on the map here in Australia and got Impact a better rating then both Raw and Smackdown at one stage in his reign. (face it, that was all him) As HBK said he also put over many TNA originals and when he lost the title it was one of the most inspirational title gains of all time. (for Joe) So I vote Angle, because he solidified TNA's chances of being able to compete and be a noticed corporation.

how the hell is Christian Cage still winning? Seriously, I would expect Kurt to do way better than Christian let alone Styles or Jarrett.

Well AJ Styles, Jarrett and Kurt Angle have done alot for the company, probably more then what Cage has done for TNA but this is about how they were as Champion and when Christian was Champ, TNA was good :y:
