Russell was the greatest champion in sports history.
Next 5 would be Oscar, Kobe, LeBron, Shaq & Duncan
LeBron isn't top 5 yet... but he is in line to become top 3 easily if he can come through with the dynasty that Miami has lined up for the next few seasons.
LeBron is the best player in the world. It was a debate between Kobe/LeBron for a while, but at this point it's more LeBron is 1 and Durant is 1A
As for players declining.. just depends. If you are a guard who depends on quickness it could be 29-31 but if you are a big man who depends on strength and technique you can last until your upper-mid 30s.
Tim Duncan who I was just posting about is 36 (plays Power Forward) and playing his best ball in years.
LeBron is not the best, he hides way too often in big games, it's between Durant and Kobe. Kobe still proves he's an unparalelled talent, even with 34 on his back. LeBron has the best physique, though.

Yawn. You are the same hater who thought OKC would beat Miami in the finals. LBJ piggybacked Miami to a title last year, I don't give a fuck about his previous shortcomings in big games when he was going ape shit in the playoffs all of last year and came up huge in the finals. The LBJ hate rhetoric is as played out as it comes.
Kobe can't even get LA above .500 this season playing next to Dwight and Pau.
