Greatest Indy Wrestlers of all time????

So many guys have had great Indy careers. I think everyones opinion will be different on this thread, but top names that pop in my head.... Jerry Lawler, Shane Douglas, Al Snow, Chris Candido, Somoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Tazz, Tracy SMothers, Raven, and many more. So whos your pick?

I'd say Sabu.

Tough question right there. Lawler stands out immediately to me. Danielson very well may be the best by the end of his career, so could the Briscoes. Sabu is another, along with Abdullah The Buthcer. Ahh, just so many I really can't pick just one.

I'd say the greatest Independent wrestlers of all time has to include Christopher Daniels, Mike Modest, and Steve Corino due to the amount of time they've competed on the independent circuit, and the true passion they have for Professional Wrestling. My hats off to Modest, he will probably never get a chance to compete in a huge promotion. He's been discouraged many times. The sad thing is he's a great wrestler but due to his size and look, nobody took a chance on him.

Edit: Super Dragon is also an Indy Legend. For a guy who never speaks on the mic, he sure generates a lot of heat. He's truly a natural heel. He doesn't resort to cheap heel tactics like grabbing the tights and bad mouthing fans, He lets his actions speak louder than his words.

I'd don't have huge extensive Indy knowledge to go way back with but from what i have seen my picks would have to be Raven and Steve Corino.

I'm going to throw the name of "The Anarchist" Doug Williams into the hat here.
He's had the uphill start of being British, and yet has been in nearly every promotion outside of the 'big 5' and been immensely successful wherever he goes.

With regards to the greatest Indy star ever, how do you define one? Most Indy stars have made it into either WCW, WWE/F or TNA which in my eyes kills off their Indy status, as they've had the main stream exposure.

Yes, Doug Williams is excellent. I recently saw some of his work with Pro Wrestling NOAH and he had a really good match with Taiji Ishimori I believe. He has worked with a lot of companies, and I hope to see more of his work in the future.

I would say Christopher Daniels ranks high on the list aswell as Mike Quackenbush. I would add Jerome Lawler, Samoa Joe, CM Punk and unfortunately... John Zandig (he did build CZW).

As for future greats, keep your on one Charles "Chuck" Taylor. I see great things in his future.
