I'd still buy it tbh. I get the price tag of 150 might seem insane. But to me if you have a game and you're going to play it for hundreds and hundreds of hours. IMO, they can charge me more than the 50 dollar price tag.

See the problem with still buying it is once they know they can get away with it, more and more games will cost that much and that would be horrible. Like for most folks to be able to afford games then they would have to wait for it to be 75% off or something.

I agree with you, it is a problem. But I want it and I will still buy it.

I get it, I do. The price "tests" for lack of a better term will happen. Also I'm going to assume that since so many people have sunk sooooooo much money into the extra stuff for GTA and all the online shit Rockstar feels confident that the 150 price tag won't fail. I don't think there are a lot of game studios that have that confidence their sales won't shit the bed if they go above a hundred dollar price tag.

I really hope so. Because I don’t want to live in a world where games are that expensive. Like maybe special editions and whatever. But like have regular ones also.

Also, something I saw the other day makes sense. Digital games should be cheaper also than a physical game

I'll also say this. As someone that has been into gaming since hell NES and buying my own video games with whatever money I earned as a little kid. I feel like the price of games haven't really gone up a lot since those days. And now it is so much more involved and so much more to make a video game like the big companies do. Hell I think when I wanted a new NES game I had to shell out 40 or 50 bucks back then.

OG game systems were high af I know, idk about the games themselves tho. Even the PS3 launched at a higher price than the 4 or 5 I'm pretty sure
