Release Date: September 16, 2022
In Goodnight Mommy, When twin brothers (Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti) arrive at their mother’s (Naomi Watts) country home to discover her face covered in bandages—the result, she explains, of recent cosmetic surgery—they immediately sense that something doesn’t add up. She sets strange new house rules, smokes in her bathroom, and secretly rips up a drawing they gave her—things their loving mother would never do.

As her behavior grows increasingly bizarre and erratic, a horrifying thought takes root in the boys’ minds: The sinking suspicion that the woman beneath the gauze, who’s making their food and sleeping in the next room, isn’t their mother at all.

The original movie made me so uncomfortable. This looks like it could be a solid remake, and I enjoy Naomi Watts quite a bit.

I might need to see the original because this Trailer for the remake was creepy as hell. Ayo one of the kids watching his Mom dance in the Mirror rocking her Lingerie what is going on here. Who is gonna save these kids because they are in the middle of no where trying to run away they would pass out from exhaustion and their Mother would get them before too long.

I'd for sure recommend it. Not being familiar with any of the cast really made it even creepier.

I love the original. Naomi Watts seems to do a lot of remakes though.

I thought this was a pretty good remake overall. Naomi Watts is very good in the lead role, and I thought the twin brothers were well acted too. Much like the original it's very tense and does a good job making you feel incredibly uneasy. I'd still recommend to see the original if you can, but you also cannot go wrong with this remake either. Whilst it's not like The Ring levels of good where it may even surpass the original in aspects, it's still very good standing on its own.
