WWE will be releasing a Blu-Ray/DVD documentary on Macho Man Randy Savage early next year. I am told that the company has interviews already filmed with Lanny Poffo for the documentary. If you've been watching the WWE Countdown shows on the WWE Network you will notice that Lanny Poffo is featured on some of the shows.

This could mean that WWE has reached an agreement with the Poffo family to induct Savage into the WWE Hall of Fame next year. Poffo noted in an interview a couple of months ago that Vince McMahon did reach out back in 2010 to Savage to try and get him inducted into the Hall of Fame but Savage declined unless Vince was willing to induct the entire Poffo family. WWE has never released a full documentary on Savage. The company did release The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection DVD back in 2009 but that was mainly a collection of matches from his career. The upcoming DVD/Blu Ray will be a full documentary on Savage's life.

Looks like Mach might finally get his recognition as a bonafide Hall Of Famer after all. Looking forward to the documentary as well.

Well, this is good. Adding a little bit of extra credibility to the HoF never hurts and it'll be fun to see Macho Man featured again.

I'll be looking for the documentary for sure, RIP Mach aka Bonesaw McGraw.
Also great news for the HoF, it didn't seem incomplete but it did feel like a big whole was missing without Randy in there.
