This match shouldn't be happening. Should do a slow story with Wyatt. Trying to avenge all of hes past failures until finally avenging hes biggest fail...the wwe championship.

Balor, Orton, Hardy, Taker, Cena...

Then have him win the title.

They striking where the iron is hot instead of telling a story.

Question: Why does Bray/The Fiend even deserve a title shot?

How many televised matches has Bray wrestled & won lately?

The idea is to have this Fiend character feel special and have him be sort of an attraction. If they were to have him wrestle every week, it would get old quickly so, as far as I'm concerned, not overexposing the Fiend is absolutely fine by me...

How did Braun "betray" Bray exactly?

There was no betrayal and I don't think Braun (and/or Harper and Rowan for that matter) are the one's Bray is referring to as those that betrayed him. Then again, this is the WWE so if they want to present it that way down the road, who's gonna stop them? Wouldn't be the first time anyway...

How many televised matches has Bray wrestled & won lately?

I can think of one...and it was a squash match against a guy
who was leaving to get married & go on his honeymoon...

When was the last time he even wrestled before that?

I think Broke Le$nar has wrestled more televised matches than
Bray has in the last 6 months.

Does anyone know?

I mean I could find out...but I honestly do not care.
How many televised matches has Hulk Hogan wrestled and won in 2002 before he challenged Triple H for the title?
Or the Rock in 2013 when he challenged CM Punk?
Or Bret Hart in 2010 to earn a WWE US titleshot?
LOD returned after 4-5 years and challenged RVD & Kane for the tag team titles in 2003 on their first night.
Not only WWE, remember Hogan in WCW in 1994, how many matches has he wrestled and won before challenging Flair?
Pro wrestling doesn't care about stats and rankings (except if there is money to make, Taker & Goldberg streaks), in pro wrestling only counts if it fits with the storyline.

In this post you don’t really seem to know how pro wrestling works. He deserves it because he’s insanely over, has perfectly fitting character work and the storyline is very good to not be made. This is not mma, you don’t need a recent fighting record to fight a champion.

I would like to reply to these arguments...but I am no
longer allowed to comment on said company's affairs.

I find both your "perspectives" laughable...& I would
have had the same issue with EVERY example you
listed if I had been around during that time Dualshock.

But hey...its okay...

You guys enjoy that company I no longer talk about & I'll
keep my lack of knowledge about "how pro-wrestling
(isn't it Sports Entertainment?) works" to myself.

If you can ask why a person deserves a championship match, then you can also ask why a person gets to be in a match for an opportunity for a championship match, or a match for an opportunity to be in a match for an opportunity for a championship match (i.e. no. 1 contender tournament), etc. etc.

If AEW for whatever reason signed Brock, do you think they would make him face someone for the main title shot? They may have a token match, but then that means The Fiend's match against Balor + his attacks on multiple wrestlers + Seth wanting to face The Fiend for revenge + the fans loving The Fiend = Should be enough to warrant a title match at a PPV in a month based on spoopyness

I don't know what made you think that I agree with some of the booking WWE has done or that I agree how pro wrestling/sports entertainment works in some cases. This wasn't even my opinion, just some examples how pro wrestling has always worked, even 30-40 years before the Fiend. Not only WWE, I am sure that promotions you are a fan of have done the same.

That’s not a perspective, that’s a fact. Pro wrestling has always been pushing guys because of charisma and character work way more than cause of actual wrestling skills. If you’re over and have a fitting presence, they will push you big time, and that has always been like that. That’s why shit wrestlers like Hogan, Andre the Giant, Warrior, Goldberg etc made it that big. To be in the world title picture you don’t have to have a recent matches record, if you’re over and fitting for the storyline that’s it. I hate that being so but it’s just how it is.

So yeah, this is not a matter of opinion but a well known fact. You’re free to think whatever you want but denying this is completely ridicilous.
