I get Nash and Hogan playing politics the way they did because it’s what gave them the money that they made but they definitely tried to kill Goldberg and they almost succeeded. I don’t think they killed him off completely because even in 2000 people would still chant Goldberg over anything else but if they had held off on Goldberg until World War III in 98, let Goldberg win World War III, and then he defeated Hogan at either Starrcade 98 or SuperBrawl 99, because the World War III winner usually changes between which pay-per-view that he gets a title shot at and then he won the belt from Hogan on pay-per-view after winning a proper royal rumble like event like you would build up a stone cold Steve Austin, Goldberg would’ve been the hottest star in 1999 if 1999 was like, basically all Bill Golderg’s title run. We’re talking a completely different ballgame for 1999 WCW and wrestling in general.
