Yea going back to watch that probably didn't help replicate the feeling of 1998 too much. No man has had an aura around him upon breaking onto the wrestling scene like Goldberg did... and I doubt anyone ever will again.

I'm not doubting his aura tbh, that's obvious from how drawn in the crowd was into him. I think I've mentioned he's quite possibly the single most charismatic man in wrestling history for getting to be such a money magnet with so little. He had no mic skills but made people care, he had limited wrestling ability with great agility and people loved him. I know the squashes are a factor but how many guys have done that and failed?

I know it's impossible to compare as most of the other top guys spoke regularly and he didn't but it's just my 2 cents, any spelling errors are to blamed on Samsung.
