discord is much much better tbh

has a search function
has desktop and phone notifications
can add and organize channels to include actions, results, roles, list of claims/hints, fake claims, etc.. in separate channels as needed
can do voice chat to discuss the game/actions if needed (we have had a 3-5 hr voice chat b4 multiple nights discussing actions in favorites lol. was a 70 player game so lots of discussion needed)

Discord is killing forums and I’d personally rather not integrate it into how we play mafia and give it even more power to do damage. Discord also has no oversight. I don’t know if can trust that people won’t try to steal our members through discord for other places to play mafia including these other discords.

WC was even just turned into a discord. Which is real shame even though we benefited from it in a lot way. I just don’t personally see the appeal of it.

This would also require everyone that plays mafia here signup for discord. That’s also not something I think we should be asking people to do, personally.

Like I said we should just offer it to the scum teams and let them decide

I genuinely HATE using conversations lol. Constantly having to scroll back and find night actions was the biggest pain in the ass

Agree with Smarks points re: discord for the most part but I do think we need a better solution than the chats as they aren't really searchable or easily shared in post game + it's easier to accidentally post in the game thread

I haven’t seen your role, but the lyncher does exist. The idea is you have to get them lynched. You had a rolecop, though, right? If not, then I agree you had no chance.

I personally hated using conversations in this game for scum chat. It's also come to my attention that moderators can see online activity even when invisible which is a major issue given the "Engaged in Conversation" status

I don't think this would be useful as it doesn't solve the main issues.

You'd be just as susceptible to posting in the wrong thread and the activity issue would still exist.

Personally I just think people need to get better at making sure they know where they’re posting because I would personally rather just keep it all on on the same place.

People also said they wanted searching as their primary reason. They’d have that here.
