Giovanni Vinci is out of action.
During Monday’s Raw, Micheal Cole on commentary announced that Vinci would be out ‘a number of weeks’ following an injury that took place on last week’s show. Vinci had taken a dropkick by Kofi Kingston as he was coming off the top rope. After the referee checked on Vinci, the match was called off, with Kingston and tag team partner Jey Uso being declared the winners.
An angle on this week’s Raw saw Kingston and Ludwig Kaiser being counted out in a singles match after they brawled around ringside. Both continued their attack, with Kaiser throwing a chair right at Kingston’s face. As he was being led to the back, Kaiser suddenly rushed past security, ran around the ring, then dropkicked Kingston’s head into the steel steps. In a backstage interview, Kaiser said it was retribution for what Kingston had done the previous week.
Gunther, another member of Imperium, had recently taken time off to be with his newborn child. However, he was advertised to appear on next week’s Raw.
