Gina Carano in the UFC still not a done deal. Now a free agent.

Although Strikeforce has been absorbed through the UFC, which is where he last saw Gina Carano lost to Cristane "Cyborg" Santos in the first Women's Strikeforce Middleweight (145 lbs) title bout. She still has four fight remaining on that contract.

But don't expect to see Carano in the octagon anytime soon, as UFC Tonight recently announced that Gina Carano's deal with the UFC had expired and she is now a free agent. The UFC apparently has not lost hope, but little details have come to light as to how they'll back this claim up.

Just last month, talks of Carano entering the UFC was all the hype, with Dana White going so far as to promise fans a return to the octagon. But now that seems to be the opposite in this case.

Yeah I wanna see Gina back in the cage and in the UFC too, but it's just not really worth it for her unless there's a shit ton of money involved so not surprised it's not easy going to get her to sign a contract.
