American Badass is my first pick, he was more modern in that era and beat the living shit out of people, and lets not forget the motorcycle entrance. The Phenom is a close second because he played the sickest mind games in that time period, sometimes I would be scared shitless.

I'm going American Badass because it gave him way more freedom on the mic and allowed him to distance himself from that whole supernatural element that had held him down a bit. SmackDown was also awesome during the time he was around kicking ass and taking names.

I started watching WWE around this time and 'Taker was the first guy I saw...I still think The American Badass gimmick was cool...

I read an interview one time where Mark said the American Badass was his favorite gimmick to do. He felt more like himself, or at least the character he would like to have. He really enjoyed it.

Ministry of Darkness was my favorite but I got out of wrestling shortly after this. I was a kid then and honestly thought the whole "cult" theme was creepy and cool. :dawg:
