I am getting a cheap phone now and then a new one after christmas and instead of a contract phone, i'd like a pay as you go one but with a good tariff. I need your opinions on the following with giffgaff.

For £12 you get:

250 UK minutes
Unlimited UK texts
Unlimited internet
Free to giffgaff

Is that a good deal? Is giffgaff good or bad?

It's okay.
I hear Virgin offer unlimited everything for monthly £5 top up.

I get unlimited texts, 750 calls and unlimited internet for £15/month on 02, but I've been with them for 7 year and I don't believe you can choose it anymore.

I gave giffgaff a go. Not great coverage and you're not allowed to tether as part of the unlimited internet.

I'm with 3. £14 a month for unlimited internet, 3000 texts and 300 minutes (with unlimited 3 to 3 minutes).

Terrible signal. My girlfriend is with them and the signal is horrific, but there's quite a few cheap deals with them. You pay for what you get.
