CHARACTER HISTORY
Brilliant debuted in 1992 as an enhancement talent for a large European-based Company known as the European Legion of Wrestling. Throughout 1992- June of 1993, going by his real name of Evan Johnson, Brilliant would be stuck on the lower card. In August of 1993, he got his big breakthrough. Repackaging himself as George E. Brilliant, he became an instant hit with the fans. With his dastardly uranagi, Brilliant would rise up the ranks. Throughout the rest of 1993 and all of 1994, Brilliant would pick up win after win, including defeating a few former world champs. Brilliant would soon earn an ELW TV Title Shot, which he would end up winning during the first month of January in 1995.
Brilliant would hold the title for 2 months, picking up a victory against the current #1 contender for the World Title. This would begin his rise to the top. He vacated his TV Title in May of 1995. In July of 1995, Brilliant would join a team of 7 heels to take on 7 faces in ELW's event known as "Axis vs Allies". Here, he would eliminate 3 people, 2 being former champs. The week after, Brilliant got his first match for the world title. Though he would come up in a losing effort, his momentum never stopped.
September of 1995, Brilliant would regain his TV Title, holding onto it for 6 months. In March of 1996, Brilliant would lose his TV title in a title v. title match with the ELW European Champ. In the upcoming months leading up to "Axis vs Allies", Brilliant would join the heels again as Team Axis. This time, he would eliminate 1 person but be the 4th person eliminated. His team would end up losing, annoying Brilliant. He didn't stop there though.
In December of 1966, Brilliant would pick up the TV Title for the 3rd time, carrying it until August of 1977. Throughout this time, Brilliant turned Face in February, and almost won the ELW World Title. He was unsuccessful though. He joined Team Allies for "Axis vs Allies" and ended up being in the final 3.
