“There is also a doctrine in NXT, it was said to be a new rule but he may be a strong recommendation as opposed to being a hard-and-fast rule, that everyone who is signed from this point forward, as well as those who have started out, has two years to become “good enough” to make NXT television or they will be cut. It was noted that a lot of people right now are ‘on the clock.’”

Sounds reasonable if true, better than the situations they've had previously where guys have been stuck down there for years on end.

Def shouldn't ever be a hard rule but I don't mind this at all as a general timeline.

Call it the Aliyah rule if you will

Yeah pretty much, I remember there being another "rule" not overly long back where it said there would be evaluations every months 3 or so to keep a track.

I think those evaluations should even be more casual too. I'm just weary of this stuff set in stone bc then people tend to focus too much on numbers and analytical shit instead of just using their eyeballs lol

Yeah the 3 months should be super loose, I think those ones were reported to be for brand new to the business types. At least in that scenario you can see if they're coachable, their work ethic etc as opposed to how good they actually are.

Yeah if they have 0 wrestling experience at all I'd be looking at charisma type stuff first, never know who might have a future as a successful non-wrestler for one (though I'm sure that'd be viewed as a failure for actual athletes lol)

If Bad Bunny and Logan Paul can be PLE ready in mere months.....anyone can do it in two years.

2 years is definitely enough time to become passable in the ring. If you don’t show any type of progress after that amount of time, then maybe you shouldn’t be in the business

They need to ditch the "we're Indian gimmick" and let these two be their swaggy selfs you see on their socials.

Oh damn, I kinda thought something like that because of the promo, or that he had some sort of disability, content kinda pointed there but was vague so I wasn't sure. Weird bc I was just saying a few days ago that I could name legally blind wrestlers, but didn't remember there being a deaf one lol He's only had two matches so far as of Friday but he looked good and might be the newest Chase U recruit too.

Michaels looks back on the past year of NXT.

There was a video package that aired at the conclusion of the 9/13 NXT 2.0 which was the one-year anniversary episode. Shawn Michaels did the voiceover for the package and at the end of it, he stated that they are always evolving which led to the NXT 2.0 logo transitioning into a white and gold NXT logo.

Michaels, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, reflected on the past year of the NXT 2.0 product while speaking to San Antonio Express-News.

He expressed how proud he is of the brand and said most their roster had just graduated college the year prior and to accomplish what they accomplished is nothing short of a miracle.

It was all very sudden for all of us [the shift to NXT 2.0] … It was an event where we had to quickly make a lot of changes and get a lot of things accomplished.
We had 75 percent of the roster who had just graduated college the year before and had never stepped foot inside [a] wrestling ring. These are young men and women who had to learn on live television for the last 12 months. What we have accomplished here in the last year is nothing short of a miracle in my opinion.
Michaels was interviewed by the outlet to promote the 2023 Royal Rumble which is emanating from the Alamodome in San Antonio where Michaels grew up.

Put some respect on 2.0.
