There's plenty of evidence to show had the Confederacy won the Civil War, they would have gone from a strong state government to an incredibly authoritarian federal one, downright military dictatorship, which it was very much on its way to becoming in late 1864. They would have then made incursions into Mexico and the Caribbean, expanding their slave empire further.
