and brawl out and brawl in happened for aew and perceptions switched

Just think, they crowned Seth, Becky and Kofi all at Mania that year. It was pretty good fan service.

not that i think aew is anywhere near as bad as wwe was creatively back then but from a public perception point it was def a massive hit

Tough one. Though I was definitely on the "Kofi as champion isn't really working" train. In his defense though, he got pretty bad feuds with Ziggler, Orton and Owens.

I guess bad isn't even the right word though, more just heatless.

But, he had the title. Coulda at least let him lose it in a non-embarassing way so at to not taint the only World Title reign he'll ever get.
