What makes this "cars go round" different from others "cars go round"?

different type of track, different style of racing. Here at Daytona(and Talladega) you can go from 1st to 21st in the matter of a second. They have what they call pack racing where they are 2-3 wide, 5-6 rows or so deep.

Other tracks they are more spread out, or maybe just 2 people racing for a win at the end. Then they are road courses sometimes, which believe it or not, has right turns also.

Then they are short tracks, which are tracks under a mile around, and those are the ones you see a bit more beating and banging, and tempers.

NASCAR is also much more contact oriented than open-wheel racing.

You can beat and beat and beat on another racer's vehicle as much as you want. The other racer may not take too kindly to it, but you can pretty much wreck someone without wrecking yourself, something nearly impossible to do in open-wheel.
