I know some region had the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles instead of Ninja Turtles

That show for me was the equivalent of parents today giving their kids ipads now

we owned a few VHS that i think we got at like Burger King for some reason that had random episodes on it and my mom would put that on tv and I would zone out to it.

TMNT had their sponsor game maxed out. They had VHS at Burger King and you could get their concert cassette tapes at Pizza Hut

That's the whole reason the cartoon was made was just to sell toys.

The comic at the time was much darker and serious and they thought kids would really enjoy it, they were right
